Description: WelcomeWhether you've something to celebrate, are at the end of a hard day's walking in the hills, or simply fancy a break from cooking at home, it is our wish at Anderson's that you all feel welcome. Forget pretence, the atmosphere here is relaxed and informal, so sit back, switch off, and savour the pleasure of great food and drink. Local Produce At Anderson's we are committed to using local Scottish produce when it is in season, so needless to say, our menu changes each month, along with our daily specials. Each dish is lovingly prepared and bought together in such a way as to bring out the very best of truly great, fresh ingredients. Although our menu is creative, our aim is simple, to present you with food that we are confident you will enjoy, and that tastes fantastic.Family Friendly The whole family is welcome at Anderson's, and it is important to us that everyone can tuck into something they will enjoy. So for children we can either offer half portions of anything on the menu, or for specific likes or dislikes, please feel comfortable to say, and the chef will be happy to come up with something to suit- within reason! Similarly please make us aware of any special dietary requirements you may have.“It’s great to see a restaurant like Andersons opening up in Boat of Garten. Owners Steve and Claire have put a huge amount of thought and effort into their set up, and their intended philosophy of utilizing the best of Scottish produce should be a real boost to the local restaurant scene. I wish them every success for the future.” Nick Nairn

Little Gem of a restaurant, went with fiancée son and Dad for Lunch. Decent service, food was excellent and Kids Sausage and Mash my Son could have ate again. Will go again upon visit to see my Dad

Great choice of food - something for everyone in our party from age 16 to 80. Everything was delicious. Service was excellent. Could not find any fault and would love to return next time we come to Speyside.

We saw the reviews on trip advisor and after a lovely but cold morning spent with the ospreys down the road, there was a warm welcome at Anderson's for lunch. The lunch menu is small but really well done. The produce is respectfully treated. The staff are attentive without being obtrusive. Family friendly and relaxed, just what we wanted. Try... More

A restaurant that can be proud of its kitchen and staff. We got in to a small cosy restaurant. Were met by nice and friendly waiters with a smile on their face. The restaurant has an opening to the kitchen. You couldn't smell or feel the kitchen in the restaurant, but you got the nice and humouristic atmosfere that was... More

What a lovely evening! It wasn't just a fantastic meal but an experience. Staff made us welcome on our arrival bringing us a bottle of chilled water and lovely home made breads (treacle and herbs I think!)The menu was very varied and different. The ice cream choices were amazing. We had jaffa cake ice cream and lavender and lemon curd.... More

Lovely little restaurant serving well cooked food, I particularly enjoyed the venison steak. The family all enjoyed their meals, there was not one poor dish served. The wine list while not long offered plenty of interest. We look forward to visiting again the next time we are in the area.

Considering the size of Boat of Garten, approximatley120 homes this restaurant always appears to be busy which means that a lot of customers are traveling some distance to eat here so a good idea is to make a booking to avoid disappointment. The restaurant itself has a rustic but welcoming feel, specials are shown on chalk boards which add to... More

We returned to Boat of Garten for a week's holiday and squeezed in two visits to Anderson's in that time. Book early to avoid disappointment! it is not a big restaurant and can get very busy and a number of people were turned away when we arrived for our reservation on a Thursday night in the peak season. Very good... More

We visited Boat of Garten earlier in the year but were on half board at the local hotel and didn't eat out. Now we know what we missed as we made a special effort to go to Anderson's on our way to Cairngorm. The 3 of us each had different choices of starters. main course and ice cream. All were... More

We ate here on a Thursday and although not full it was busy the whole time we were there. We booked and I would suggest that you do book at this time of year. Top marks to the staff who were able to manage the taking of orders, serving and clearing of tables very effectively. The food itself was of... More
