This restaurant is back on top! I often visit this restaurant when visiting family in the area and it used to be very good. The last time however (in September) we were unimpressed. There wasn't enough choice for vegetarians, the portions were small and when we asked to sit at a window table the staff said that the computer had... More

Did not know this place existed until recently. Visited four times in past month and each time the food an service have been faultless. Together with the views how could you fail to like the establishment ?

Wow, went on Monday 24th October, food was excellent, had seen the posters the week before, that Chris Kennan had designed the menu for the brasserie, so just walked in not really knowing if there would be a table available, but we were sat straight away, we were given a lovely table by the window, the waitress that served us... My wife and myself thought we would treat ourselves as it was the first night that we actually had some time together what with our busy schedules. The weather outside was dreadful but inside was a delight warm fire, cosy atmosphere. We only decided to go out for a coffee but after a quick glance of the new menu we... More

It was once a fantastic place to have a special occasion, lovely quality food, stunning deco, great staff! However, this time round i found the service was terrible (apparently the staff are not allowed to ask whether you enjoyed your meal or need anything), the food was really below average! I can honestly say, i wish i visited McDonalds... Yes,... More

My husband and I live quite near to Monks Brasserie, and often pop in for a meal. We've been coming since the brasserie opened, and we like the ambience and views out to the estuary. However, the quality of the food has deteriorated considerably recently- on one occaision I discovered a paper clip in my mushy peas- the staff dealt... More

We wanted to book our Work party here and thought we would try it. Food was just ok, service left a lot to be desired, very slap dash, waitresses couldnt smile, noone showed us to a table, in fact we stood about for a while looking, we were passed a number of times and ignored. Decided not to book for... More

I visited this place in august with a group of friends as we arrived we were greeted by a lovely waitress who showed us to our table which was by the window overlooking the gower and carmarthen bay, the waitress gave us our menus and took our order for drinks... We then ordered our food while waiting for our starters... More
