Great place to eat, socialist and relax

We didn't book, but this wasn't an issue, we were served and treated well by friendly staff throughout our meal. Dinner was cooked perfectly and to a high standard.

We came for a family meal, 12 in all. Not the greatest night out I'm afraid. I had sea bass, which was good in itself, but the saute potatoes were undercooked and tasted unbelievably earthy. There were no dishes really suitable to a childs' palate, and no chicken of any sort on the menu. My partner and daughter both reluctantly... More

Take your coffee, or drink, onto the balcony, enjoy the views, maybe a golf club but you don't have to be a golfer. Ladies (& guys) try the Spa downstairs & indulge in lunch. Have eaten there on numerous occasions & have found the food to be inconsistent, the curry can be mild one week & hot the next.....but the... More

The food here is hit and miss. Of three visits over three weeks, two were lovely and one very, very, disappointing.

My daughter is 40 today so my sister in law and myself joined her and her friends for lunch . I live locally and over the last year or two the meals here can be very hit or miss . I heard there was a new chef and menu and that the meals were enjoyable now, so we gave it... More

I visited here today with 4 friends, we sat in the restaurant, two of us ate from the set menu, I chose chickpea and butternut squash tagine, which was excellent, I have eaten here many times, mainly in the bar area, and always enjoy the food, which is well presented too. What I like about eating here is that you... More

Whenever I have family and friends visiting me in Llanelli, breakfast is a must at Monk's. The staff are always really friendly and helpful and the view is simply one of the best in this part of Wales. The food is always good and the kitchen will are very adaptable to cater for everybody's needs

We found this on the internet by chance and it looked convenient to eat here after a long drive from England to see the rugby. Arrived mid afternoon on a Saturday and it was easy to find and plenty of space. It has the most amazing panoramic views of wind swept marshes with golf links populated by woolly hatted souls...
