Le Mata Hari has the most beautiful setting, it sits right on a small beach with views to Calvi harbour and the Citadel and on a good day (when the high winds are not in attendance), the outdoor seating, by candle light, with your feet in the sand and watching a fabulous sunset, is as a romantic setting as any... After travelling the short distance from Calvi to spend an afternoon at the lovely small beach, my wife and I decided to reserve a table at this Restaurant for the following evening; we even chose our preferred table! Well, what can I say.... this turned out to be our best meal during our two weeks holiday in Calvi. The food,... More

The food we had there was good (we both had the menu), service was friendly and speedy and the location absolutely fantastic. In terms of taste it was good, but there is a little bit of room for refinement. We'd go there again.

Corsica is both beautiful and wild, thankfully not defaced by mass tourism so the selection is both limited and usually expensive. We originally intended to cook at home until our landlady recommended Mata Hari which was just down the (poorly paved) road. The potholes were worth it and we could hardly believe our eyes when we saw it on the... More

We always visit Mata Hari twice if staying in Calvi. The beach is superb (but I think that 12 euros is a bit steep for a lounger) and the food is of the highest quality, although their prices were a bit steep.A minus was that they seemed to be running out of wines-I guess that last week in September is getting... We were looking for a nice beach to hit. To our surprise after a winding road down to the water, we came upon this secluded spot. Tables in the sand, wonderful service, and a delicious meal were the highlights. It is a bit steep for a beach lunch but definitely worth it. We will absolutely go back during our next... More

Another restaurant we've been coming to for years. Very stylish. More akin to what you'd maybe find in a corner of a One & Only hotel in Maurituis. In fact the cuisine has a Mauritian influence with some dishes infused with subtle spices. I should probably give Mata Hari 5 for food but I give it a 4 because frankly... More

A lovely tranquil restaurant by Arinella beach near Lumio. I loved the experience at the Matahari, Feet in the sand, umbrellas protecting us from the intense Corsican sun. The food was delicious and the price very affordable. A definite attraction of Lumio. Not to forget take a walk towards Punta di Spano and the gigantic rocks. Perfect day of relaxation.

We sort of happened on this place by chance and I am glad we did. It is a little pretentious but the food was excellent and the location superbe. Go for it, it is worth it!
