“Peyia Tavern” is a family restaurant and is highly recommended, here you will have the opportunity to sample the “Traditional Special Meat Meze”, great dish for the meat lovers. The meat is cooked in the traditional Cypriot way (on the charcoal). The Special Meze is served one dish at a time by the Taverna staff which are family members. Be careful not to over face yourself with the bread, salad, dips and pourgouri (traditional couscous) which is served as an appetiser prior to the meat dishes. Also the taverna serves traditional dishes like "Halloumi", "Sieftalia" and "Stifado".

Simply the best in Peyia

Great food, good value. Best Beef Stifado and Shaftalia I've had In 9 visits to Cyprus. Service top notch both the owner and his lad.

Very nice atmosphere. We took the meze for two people and it was hard to eat it all. Not a bad price. I would recommend Peyia Tavern!

There aren't too many restaurants in Peyia, but the Payia Tavern offered really tasty, well cooked local dishes. Service was friendly and efficient.

We enjoyed a nice meal here on our first night in Peyia. The food is very good and the staff are very attentive, but dont expect a menu, the waiter will just tell you what they have that evening, seemes to work well.

What can I say yet another great visit to The Peyia Tavern and as always what a great night my friends and I had. We ordered a Cypriot Meze and it was absolutely gorgeous. We,had walked past peyia tavern a few times. It always seemed busy and everyone always seemed to be having a good time so we decided to go. We managed to get a table outside. The staff are very friendly. There is no menu they, just tell you what there is. It's typical Cypriot food. We had the village salad to share.... More

Ate here while on holiday after looking on trip advisor for a decent place to eat. Very friendly welcome as other people have said the waiter is the menu. Simple greek food but plentiful and beautifully and lovingly cooked to a high quality. Definitely recommend.

We ate in here one night and thoroughly enjoyed it. The manager is the menu- he tells you what there is and you choose on the spot! We started with the Greek salad, with bread and the most amazing dips. We then had the pork chop, beef stifado and a portion of chips to share. I wish the salad hadn't... More
