“Peyia Tavern” is a family restaurant and is highly recommended, here you will have the opportunity to sample the “Traditional Special Meat Meze”, great dish for the meat lovers. The meat is cooked in the traditional Cypriot way (on the charcoal). The Special Meze is served one dish at a time by the Taverna staff which are family members. Be careful not to over face yourself with the bread, salad, dips and pourgouri (traditional couscous) which is served as an appetiser prior to the meat dishes. Also the taverna serves traditional dishes like "Halloumi", "Sieftalia" and "Stifado".

Good family run restaurant, good service and great food, we had the Meze and it was more than we could eat! Two families travelling together and we were seated together. Nice enough, but not somewhere special enough to make a regular visit too.

Lovely taverna in Peyia with a human menu. When we sat down the waiter said good evening I am the menu ,which made us smile and the told us all the food we could have. The food was amazing typical Cypriot fare. If your looking for gourmet food don't go to this taverna but if your looking for good fresh... More

The restaurant's atmosphere is welcoming as you can expect from any family-run restaurant. The outside tables provide a nice view of the evening sunset, but you are next to the main road in Peyia, so not a perfect setting. We opted for the meze (€15 per person), and the food was okay. Not the best Cypriot meze we've had. The... More

The food here is beautiful. We visited a few times in our stay and had the meze. It was some of the nicest food I have ever eaten. It also helps that the staff are very friendly and welcoming. We were stopping in an apartment near by and one night we were having a BBQ, I went down to the... More

The first meze we'd ever had and it didn't disappoint! The service was good however only snipe is the food comes too fast! It would be more enjoyable at a slower pace and we felt rushed. Other than that it was great.

Read good things about the Peyia Tavern. So went expecting good things. The greeting was great, the service equally so. We ordered meze, the salad came and was good. Our let down was the meat....so fatty and obviously poor cuts. So much was left, as we could not eat it. That was a shame, and hopefully, this was a one-off,... More

No doubt the food here is very good and I am Greek Cypriot and know what good Greek Cypriot food is. The owner however was very rude to me. I asked for "Pitta-Bread" and he bluntly told me told me "No, This is a restaurant not a kebab house" quite funny really but I definitely didn't feel welcome the whole... More

Went here on the recommendation of Laura from Dave Wilson Property Management. This doesn't look for much from the outside and the decor is very much basic Greek taverna. There was no menus but the waiter (possibly a family member) tells you everything they have for you to choose. We were surprised that they don't have the traditional potatoes or... More
