Description: “Peyia Tavern” is a family restaurant and is highly recommended, here you will have the opportunity to sample the “Traditional Special Meat Meze”, great dish for the meat lovers. The meat is cooked in the traditional Cypriot way (on the charcoal). The Special Meze is served one dish at a time by the Taverna staff which are family members. Be careful not to over face yourself with the bread, salad, dips and pourgouri (traditional couscous) which is served as an appetiser prior to the meat dishes. Also the taverna serves traditional dishes like "Halloumi", "Sieftalia" and "Stifado".

The menu is on the wall as you walk in, there were no menu's on the table but the waiting staff will talk you through it anyway. Visited the Peyia Tavern twice, would have been more if stayed longer. As a couple on the first visit we didn't want the full Meze, so ordered dolmades and dips for starters and... More

We had dinner here on our first night in Peyia and we loved it! Great staff and service. The waiters don't give you menus but reel it off to you. We had a lovely meal here, try the bbq lamb chops, they are so good!

There's no denying that the food in the Peyia Tavern (or Mike's as some people call it) is consistently good but it's not spectacular. They get busy and as I've read in another review, the outdoor seating area is very small, so booking is a good idea if you want one of those tables next to the busy road. The... More

Arrived around 6pm at our Peyia apartment, and just threw our baggage down and drove up into the village, parked upon the the free municipal parking ( opposite). We walked into the small but busyTavern and was greeted by a waiter who asked if we'd booked( there were tables laid up for people who obviously been there before) we said... More

On of our top 4 Taverns to eat at. Book a table as the balcony is small. There is room inside normally but they do get booked up as the food is good here. When we asked for the menu, to our children's delight he announced 'I am the menu' and proceeded to tell us what was available. My Mother... More

My group of 6 friends voted Peyia Tavern #1 in town for traditional Cypriot Mezze. We absolutely loved our experience here as we stuffed ourselves silly on pork chops, meatballs, sausage, chicken, and lamb. Unbelievable food. Thank you Peyia Tavern for an unforgettable meal!

This must be one of the last few remaining home made cooking taverns in Paphos. The food is well cooked and abundant.. at very reasonable prices. Everything from the tzatziki to the tashi is home made and delicious....and their grilled dishes are large and fresh...If you are in the Peyia area it is definitely a place to consider... just make... Excellent family run taverna. The food and local wine are fantastic. The service is good and you are made to feel very welcome. We opted for the meze which was the best we have tasted. All the food is freshly prepared/cooked and the portions are very generous and the prices really reasonable. Our three young children also loved coming here... More

Very good food and the halloumi here is the best one in Cyprus, homemade by the chefs mother. Good menu and wine and great staff!
