Great place and very good portions..... Had a party of 10 locals in when we went which is always a good sign....would very much recommend.
On arriving in Guia we decided upon this restaurant and although we did not have a reservation they accommodated us without a problem . The food was excellent and plentiful, we were served the biggest Chateaubriand i have ever seen and it was sensibly priced.
We were a party of eight with 2 under 10's with us. We ordered chicken piri piri, lamb, chicken escalopes, fish cataplana for two, sea bass, burger and chips and spaghetti bolognaise for the kids... The food was average at best, the cataplana was bland, the lamb was plain, the escalopes were ok, the spaghetti bolognaise wasn't good and rejected.... More
We reviewed recently and felt we needed to comment again. We visited the restaurant again this evening and were immediately recognised from the previous time. On our last visit we smelt the curry and it was too enticing to over look it this evening. What a lovely meal, very tasty without being over powering. Previously I commented about lack of... More
An intimate setting which as some suggest could be improved with some background music. Seated 5 of us with no problem at 7pm on a Tuesday. Staff were efficient but unfortunately lacked personality, bread and olives were very sizeable as in all fairness were all portions. One childrens bolognese and one grilled chicken breast both very nice. I had Turbot... More
First time back after the very sad passing of Aurelio, we were not disappointed. The restaurant was full when we arrived as we hadn't booked but we were told it would only be a few minutes and t hey weren't wrong. Menu hasn't changed since last visit 2 years ago. We ordered chateaubriand for 2 which arrived perfectly rare as... More
Although the restaurant was fully booked, they managed to squeeze the 4 of us in. The chicken piri-piri is really nice. First bites don't seem too spicy but there is a bit of an after kick! Other members of my party had roast lamb and chicken kebabs - both meals of very ample helpings and very tasty too. Or meals... More
We wanted to try out the no. 1 place to eat in Guia. The food was lovely, my daughter had the peri peri chicken which I tried, the chicken was succulent and the spice was present but not over powering. I too had chicken without peri peri and it was cooked to perfection. My lady wife had Salmon which was... More
We have been here several times before and always enjoyed it, but our latest visit was a huge disappointment. It retains its old-fashioned charm and the staff are still friendly, but they have serious problems with the chef. We ordered rare fillet steak. What arrived was neither fillet nor steak, and the only way it could be described as rare... More
If you are in thé région of Guia, this restaurant serves good quality typical Portuguese food and a lot of quality for your money. Very nice Robalio, or Dorada grilled, the best pure food you can get. Good list of wines and very friendly service You will not feel ripped of, but pampered... Do...
