Two days after having gone here for dinner on my own, I'm still thinking about the beef stroganoff. Beef stroganoff is one of my all time favorite dishes and pretty much any time I see it on a menu I order it. This one was exceptional. Super tender filet with a rich, creamy mushroom sauce served with a side of... More

If you are in Diani/Ukunda make sure you have a dinner here. The place is out of a story book and the treatment is something you would find in a fancy restaurant. The prices are surprisingly affordable -- meaning you would probably pay if you go out to some "modern" restaurant/bar somewhere in Nairobi. Dress up a bit and don't... More

Totally nothing intersting despite dining in a cave with an open roof. The portions and the food was miserable. You will find a cheaper and better dining options in many places around

The location and 'interior decoration' sure makes the cave worth a visit, but otherwise the experience was average at best. The meals were OK, not exceptional, but what we didn't appreciate was the lack of service orientation at the place. When we asked to order wine by glass, we were told wine can only be purchased by bottles, despite the... More

Service is really slow, we wait for a long time to get our food. Food is good, the lobster pasta is so good, all the pasta is well seasoned.

I'm giving 2 stars for originality of restaurant- it's in a cave... but it was hot and stuffy and dark.. menu was pretty plain. Staff weren't too attentive. So we left.

No other place could have summed up 2015, as going to Ali Barbour's Cave Restaurant with my love to celebrate the last hours of the year. Grand service, but most the setting made it all for us. The bar and the restaurant itself are stunning. It is truly a shame about the food because it makes the whole place over-rated.... More
