Fantastic sardines!

Our recent first trip to this gorgeous family run taverna was a joy! A superb lazy lunch with possibly the best fresh sardines I have ever had. Next to a little harbour area right by Nissaki beach the views out to sea are stunning with the mountains of Albania in the distance. The family all loved... read more

A beautiful location overlooking the beach and local boats. We ate here twice during our stay and both times the food was really tasty and delivered by friendly staff. If you can try booking one of the tables on the front. They were also happy to let us drink in the bar and play cards on the morning of our... More

The location on the small beach is the best one in Nissaki and is very well frequented by locals, tourists and day trippers alike. The atmosphere is always very welcoming, especially from the matriarch Agatha, who seems to have the energy of a 30 year old. The food is good but unusually fresh fish is not high up the list... On our trip to Nissaki we decided to eat out at this taverna. Saw a free table and sat down. After some minutes the waiter arrived and instead of presenting the menu asked us in a rude tone how did we dare sit at the table as it was reserved. I told him that there was no such sign. He... More

Fantastic little spot overlooking the water! We arrived by boat and I recalled it being excellent several years back and true to form I was not disappointed! It had wonderful fish options and meats.

We stumbled upon this seaside restaurant on our first night in Nissaki and were not disappointed. Simple Taverna in a great location and long established. in fact, founded in the year I was born - a good omen! We skipped the starter and ordered the catch of the day (Sea Bream), with chips and rice respectively, plus a salad apiece.... More

I had melt in the mouth steak and very good value for money, would recommend a little walk along the coast for all staying in Sunshine Spa... More

Stopped at Nissaki as part of a half-day boat trip from Gouvia. The boat pulled up at the tiny mooring point by the restaurant, at which I decided to take lunch; a refreshing couple of draught beers with Calamari and Chips, together with a side Greek salad. The Calamari was possibly the best I've ever had. So fresh and plentiful!... More

Built out over the rocks beside Nissaki's little pebble beach, the tables all have a lovely view over the bay. We received a very warm welcome from the diminutive lady proprietor and good friendly service from her staff. It was a hot day so we decided on a lunch of several starters, rather than big main courses, which we shared... More

Been here twice now. Fab location. Food ok. BUT WHATEVER YOU DO don't ask for the WiFi password. They are not in the 21st century yet and you will be ridiculed! Then given a sermon on the Greek economy. All I wanted to do was check on how my kids were.
