Overrated - paying for the view - not the food!

Too a friends mother upto sky high restaurant for Sunday roast today. @ $39.50 I expected a lot more. Service was only ok at best, the food - it was edible - but far from worth the price. 2 paper thin slices of 'roast beef' and 1 from the end. 2 'roast' potatoes. The Yorkshire pudding, if that's... read more

The best time to visit is of course close to dusk and if you grab a good table on the outdoor deck, the views are awesome ! I have been there several times over the last 5-6 years and I must say that the place has started looking dated. Seems like the maintenance of the grounds and the gardens seem... More

never eaten here before but been up here plenty of times, remember coming up here when the restaurant had shut down for a number of years. It was good to see it open again for the number of tourists who come up here. Shame it was a day of drizzle as you could not see much of a view, and... More

Unfortunately it was very foggy when we went which cant be helped but they let us sit by the fire which was nice. After that it was all downhill. You had to catch the waiters eye to get service, the food was terrible. Neither of us could finish our meals and are not fussy eaters. We asked for aioli with... More

SkyHigh Mount Dandendong was simply amazing that both me and my partner will forever cherish dearly and make it a definite on our list of restaurants to re-visit in the near future. The drive up to the restaurant was breathtaking, seeing all what nature has to offer, from the trees to the windy roads was amazing. Upon entry there was... More

The gardens were nice enough, but the pathways were kind of silly in that they did not lead you from one garden room into the next. You spent most of the time back treking. The view would have been amazing, if not for complete smog. So nothing to see. We would have went into the maze, but it was closed.... More

We arrived on a table next to the window and enjoyed very scenic view from there. From then on, every detail during the dinner was disappointing. It wasn't a very busy night, as we arrived on a weekday night and around 6-8 tables were occupied out of the 30 odd empty tables. We had to wait more than 10 minutes... More
