One of the famous places in town is located in fact, outside but not far away of town. The place is famous because of excellent food and hospitality. This is the place where you could spend nice evening with family and friends, enjoying traditional kitchen.

If you want to try extreme hospitality then visit this hotel. We had a suggestion from our friends to stop there if we would like to explore Sarajevo. We did what they said and that was a bingo. The rooms were very nice and clean, price very low and the food and service cannot be described by words. You must... More

Kulin Dvor was recommended by a friend who found all outdoor restaurants in Sarajevo too much alike. Although the outskirt of Sarajevo was not a tempting site, my suspicion was groundless as the restaurant was surprisingly nice and the food was delicious. It is divided in two locations, one on each side of the highway, some 10 miles north from... More

This restaurant is about 20 minutes drive from Sarajevo, but worth the trip. Lovely drive, the restaurant is located in lush country side. VERY popular with the locals, during weekend reservation recommended. Generous portion, beautifully served and presented. Bosnian at its best. Fine service, well priced.

When on the road from Sarajevo to Tuzla, close to Sarajevo you will find this restaurant. It offers mostly traditional Bosnian food. The interior is also decorated mostly in traditional Bosnian style. Food is excellent, freshly prepared, good, large portions. Meat is especially good. There is also a very good soup, very rich, it can play the role of the... More

We ate here at least five times and never had a bad meal. Very good roast veal (teletina ispod saca) in a garden setting beside a clear creek. Some nights they have local music. There's a small play area for kids. Indoor restaurant is also homey, albeit smokey like every other restaurant in the country. Excellent value and quick service.

If you have never had veal, this would be a good place to start. The headline dish in this family owned restaurant is called kolenica (cole-yan-eets-ah). It is a roasted veal shank that is slow cooked in a brick oven called a satch. It is served in roasted potatoe rounds and a captured juice sauce within a glass chaffing dish.... More
