Our tour guide, Patrick Spencer, offered to take our family on a Sunday drive on our day without plans and we ended up at the most spectacular restaurant, Ristorante Belvedere. Without a reservation we were seated on the terrace with amazing views of the Italian countryside. We left the ordering up to Chef Mossimo who served several wines and courses,... More

We went to this restaurant as a large group and had a fixed menu. It was all amazing with lots of dishes and very reasonably priced.

Belvedere excels in the use of local products including an extensive selection of local wines that deserve to be explored. Ask for advice to the friendly staff. The menu follows a zero-km philosophy with locally sourced traditional products. The food is interesting, well prepared and respects traditional flavors. Ingredients from the past are sometimes used with curious results. The service... More

Wow what an amazing restaurant. We organised my husbands 40th birthday dinner for 30 people here and it was unbelievable. There was so much food which was by far our best meal in Italy so far.The staff were great, they even organised to have my husbands name put on the cake.It was very reasonable and so much food on the... The food is amazing and genuine, entirely based on local products (strongly recommended are the pappardelle al ragù di chianina). The wine list is also very interesting with a wide range including foreign wines as well as rather large selection of local Chianti. The place is elegant without being pretentious in a marvellous setting...which makes it ideal for a romantic date.... More

Best meal in Italy. Try the chef's appetizers and any of the amazing entrees. Our 8 yr old Vino Nobile did cost a bit, but it would have been 5 times more in the States.

The views from the terrace were amazing across the valley to Monte San Savino. Although some reviewers found it difficult to find, we had no problems having looked on the map first and realised that it is some way out of the town. The food was authentic and local, and we enjoyed sampling a range of local appetizers. It is... More

This is THE place to sit outside overlooking the valley and enjoy a long lunch of fabulous food and wine. Excellent and friendly service. Not touristy and probably difficult to find so make sure you have good directions. We had pappardelle with steak sauce followed by lemon and berry sorbet!

My family and I went to this lovely restaurant for lunch. We sat for hours enjoying the food, the view, and of course, the wine. We were the only Americans there, the rest were locals. Everyone was very friendly and we even got to meet the chef! I can't recommend this place highly enough.

It is easy to fall in love with the place as it is elegant and comfortable at the same time and the view upone the vally takes your breath away. The staff is welcomming and available to explan each ingrediant of the recepies, as they suggest wines in pairing. The discussion is verry friendly and you can learn as much... More
