It was the most expensive and best meal I've ever had in a restaurant. Definitely worth every penny. The banana ravioli is absolutely wonderful and I'll be back there again one day.

Well composed menu, we went for their 4course proposal. They were changing the wine list, but had good options to choose from. Everything was explained in detail by the very friendly and service-minded waiter. Starters were delicious. Our main dishes were duck breast and filet of lamb, both were cooked as we ordered it. The restaurant had live jazz musicians... More

The ambiance of the place is great. The owners and the waiters are extremely nice (yeah, they do give a tour of the place and warn you about their philosophy of slow food). Food is good, but overpriced. R$170 (with service) per person for 1st small course, 2nd course and small dessert. That's the price of a real menu degustacion... More

Theatro da Villa has the food quality and distinctive ambience to be a runaway success but their pompous pricing strategy and near complete disregard to service ruin the overall experience. Lets start with the food- We really enjoyed it!!! - the salmon and the duck were absolutely world class! However, the 90 minute waiting time between dishes, the 30 minute... More

We came here on the recommendation of the hotel. First they give you a "tour", pointing out where the toilets are and telling you the name of each room (??). Once seated, we were very surprised to see that there were no prices to be seen on the menu or anywhere else. My partner had to get up and ask,... More

Never been so badly treated! The salmon tasted charcoal and we gave our opinion as the waiter requested it. A very impolite lady (was she the chef?) came to our table and almost insulted us by saying that we had made a bad choice of menu combination and we were the first to complain about her food. The price of... More

We had a lovely evening at this restaurant. The meal was great and the service very attentive but it's not cheap. Definitely more for a special night out.

I just got back from the restaurant and felt injured. After more than two hours of waiting, the final balance was a Carpacio served frozen to my wife, a huge delay between a plate and another, a cold mass, and the total absence of zeal for the Quality of care. In the end, we spend over 340 reals per one... More

An excellent mix of good taste and delicate touches in both food and atmosphere. Every detail has been intelligently overseen by the twin brothers, owners of the restaurant. A visit is a must when in the area.

Do not waste your time looking for any other place to dine in Tiradentes. This restaurant is a lovely old theater, completely renovated with great taste. The twin brothers who run the place greet you personally and provide a cozy and relaxed atmosphere. They are adept of the slow food movement. One of the brothers is the kitchen artist. The... More
