Lovely food, helpful staff, nice surroundings and reasonably priced. We had lunch and it has a very good menu catering for most tastes.

Thanks to all at Sweet Pea restaurant for making our girly night out a great one! Compliments to the chef for a delicious meal and thanks to Nuala for making our surroundings so homely and relaxed! The service was excellent and the waitress was very pleasant, even offering warm top ups of tea/coffee! We most definitely will be coming back... More

My wife and I had a splendid afternoon tea in the Cafe recently. The food was plentiful and was of a high quality, just what one has come to expect at this Cafe. The staff members set up a table in the corner of this quaint Cafe for us and the set up added to the occasion. The wheaten bread... More

This café has a very pleasant atmosphere, specially when we wanted a quiet place to enjoy private birthday lunch. The food is excellent and well presented. If there was a negative, it was that the staff did not come across as warm and friendly. However, the atmosphere otherwise and the food, would make us go back for more.

I had quiche and my granny has a toastie which was basic but nice. Desserts were amazing and coffee was the nicest I've tasted! I just have one small criticism and that each time the phone would ring the cook would come out to the dining area sit opposite is and speak very loudly reguarding booking and orders this was... We fell upon Sweet Pea Cafe a few days ago whilst visiting annetts garden centre. It's in a beautiful setting opposite the garden centre with tables and chairs outside. The cafe is housed in a stone building absolutely full of charm. The lady that served us was extremely friendly and welcoming. we ordered cappuccino and scones and sat outside in... More

The restaurant was situated in a beautiful entrance to a fantastic garden centre which we had a wander around and then decided to grab some lunch. We were told to take a seat but had to wait for quite some time for our tea and scones to actually arrive in front of us. The lady who served us looked stressed... More

I attend a writing group on Wednesday mornings at Sweet Pea, so I generally just grab a coffee on my way upstairs, but I was so glad we called here for lunch while out for a walk last week. It was one if the hottest days of the summer so far, so we chose to sit outside in the shade... More

I have been to this cafe several times now and am always underwhelmed. The outside with it's stone building and beautiful garden makes it look so promising it's a shame the cafe itself is so diappointingly average. The decor is nice but boring. The food is all the old standards and even those that sound exotic are full of sweet... More

Hi sorry to hear our decor did not agree with your taste, i have to say we get nothing but compliments for our quaint cottage setting, exposed beams, and lovely vintage wallpaper and high quality furniture. Our menu changes on a regular basis and we have a daily specials board. All our food is home cooked, all our baking is... More
