Very pleasant visit

Went there to meet some friends. Lovely surroundings, coffee was very good, as were the cakes and tray bakes.

I have lunch there every couple of months after visiting the garden centre ( also wonderful ). the lunch menu gives choice from sandwiches through to chowders. I had sweet potato and butternut soup with home made wheaten bread this time - excellent. Service efficient and helpful, clean and everything very tasty. Perfect spot for that perfect afternoon when the last thing you want to do is sit indoors. Add a glass of wine or two and you have memories to cherish. Very competent home cooked food of seafood platter, stir fry and scampi. Outside noises from the zoo, passing kids train, and a very friendly Robin made it special. Pity the... More

The location is at a garden centre and beside a graveyard, but this gives it a rather serene atmosphere. There is amply parking spaces. The staff and so friendly and nothing is any bother to change or adapt the menu. The offer lighter bites... More

Good seafood chowder and all round excellent effort for our lunch here. Nice cafe attached to the garden centre, which has some good specimens for sale. Apart from the shallow plate for the soup, which was too wide and tending to let the margins of the soup cool quickly, there was nothing to complain about. A smaller deep soup bowl... More

Called today after a visit to the garden centre. Was very surprised at the quality of the food and the wide ranging menus. Staff were very professional and friendly. Will call again for sure.

Called into this café today-ordered 2 coffees and 2 apple crumble with cream and while the service was good the price does not justify what we bought £12.10!!!
