Certificate of Excellence 2014
Cuisines: Spanish
Dining options: Breakfast/Brunch, Reservations, Late Night
Description: This is a superb dining experience on the promenade at Los Alcazare4s, on the Mar Menor in Spain. The food is superb. I have eaten there in july 2011 and july 2010 and both times the friendly and professional staff were wonderful, helpful and very family friendly. There is a hotel attached. The food offered is a wonderful array of meat, fish and spanish dishes. My friends had sweet, and moist bream and bass I had the most unctuous pork knuckle. The desserts were well made, fresh and full of flavour. On Thursdays/Friday there are dances to Spanaish live music where hundreds watch and dance along the prom. I recommend this wonderful establishment.

Sunday night sees a live flamenco show. Great addition to the good food and friendly staff. Place was pretty busy, and we waited a long time for our paella: staff super apologetic. Head honcho kept trying the hard sell on a starter of fresh prawns at €27 a portion. Each time me explaining we don't particularly like prawns. Again, he... More

This restaurant is the must visit place in the whole of the region. You can sit overlooking the sea and the promenade watching the world go buy. The beer comes out in frozen glasses and goes down like nectar. A must visit place.

If you want a glimpse back into Spain's bygone era then this is the place to go. Warm hospitality rustic food and I recommend the Sunday evening Flamenco dinner. Even the house rioja at 2 euro a glass is outstanding.

We ordered three enjoyable wine included set-menus at 25 euros each all-in. Otherwise, expect Vat (IVA) on top, but you can order whatever takes your fancy from the A La Carte menu. Inside the Pension style dated establishment is the most wonderful turn of the 20th century complex of thermal baths, plus an old lady who looks as if she... More

The location is awesome. It goes downhill from there. All items in our main courses were overcooked. The menú was €25 but worth about €12. The pudding was just assembled from squirty cream and supermarket vol au vents and choux. The mash potato was Smash (all 4 of us had it and are 100% sure about that). Nice place but... More

We took advice of locals to visit this beautiful restaurant. We took the tourist train from the end of the strip and ticket collector gave us directions. The meal was out of this world. The best we had in all 19 days on holiday. The service was great and the views were amazing. Over all our bill was €60 for... More

What a lovely restaurant, staff smart and very efficient. Superb position right on the beach with great views across to La Manga strip. Wether you have breakfast, Tapas or a full meal the food is excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I always feel it is a good sign if you go regularly to a restaurant and the staff is still the same. We have been going to L'Encarnacion for the past nine years both in May and September and have found it to be consistently good. In September they have a Flamenco Night which is great value. Great food and... More

When I was invited to a flamenco evening I started to dial for a taxi to the airport. My image of an old lady in a red flamenco dress from Asda could not have been more wrong. It was fantastic. 2 sittings on a Sunday night of really good food (ask for menu del noche- which comes with a very... More

This restaurant has a lot of history in the city, you can eat in the courtyard that is very confortable or in the terrace seeing all the beach. The food is very nice and you can enjoy of one of the best "Calderos" (Typical food from Murcia), also they have a very good Chill Out during the night, and has... More
