I enjoyed an excellent meal with the family over a Sunday lunchtime, but having arrived a little before 1pm and ordered by 1.20pm we did not receive any food until around 2pm. The place was not packed and I think this is a little excessive. The menu is excellent and good value though - we tried Sunday roasts (also included... More

We enjoyed visiting this place quite regularly but recently we feel the prices have gone up and the meal sizes have gone down. We waited quite a long time one evening for our meal. We did prefer this pub as it was a child free pub but it seems now they have a children's section. Unless you can find seats... More

We thought we would give the pub another try seeing that it has been refurbished and the menu looked good. It did go downhill in the past but now things have got better. The decor is nicely done and the food was spot on. All the family enjoyed their meal. We did have to wait though, but if you're relaxed... More

First off, this is a pub that does food, not a town centre or country restaurant. So if you're happy with that then go ahead and eat there. The food is good, waiting times can sometimes be prolonged at busy times but the staff always tell you if this is the case when ordering food. Fantastic friendly staff, comfortable clean... More

I had fish and chips which weren't great but when I got home I spent quite a while vomiting down the toilet. I complained to Ember Inns and guess what? They offered me a free meal. They got to be kidding. Why would I put myself through that again. My wife had the curry and did not suffer at all.... More

Visited last night in a party of 8. Table had been booked for 3 weeks. They'd only reserved us a table for 5 as the table they were hoping to give us had been occupied all day and the staff said it was never empty to put the 'Reserved' notice on. When I suggested they'd put a 'reserved from 7pm'... More

Went to this pub for lunch after it had been refurbished. we hadn't visited for a while as the food and service has got worse over time. The decor has been improved and the place has a nice feel to it. We ordered our lunch and waited and waited, even though the place was almost empty. When the food did arrive... More

I like this brand of pub as the food is usually spot on and on the most part this was the case. As previous reviews have said there is a need for more staff as wait times can be high but I think this is a issue across the chain. There is a good selection of Real Ales and the... More

I visit here quite often only because it is close to home, But there is nothing special about it, there's never enough staff on and the food is just mediocre.
