I have had numerous meals in this cafe and think they do one of the best jumbo breakfasts going. 5* hygiene/cleanliness rating too! The cafe is set on the grass above the beach and has fantastic sea views all the way to Saltburn. Fantastic food, fantastic staff. Highly recommended.

The "Stray Café" is only a couple of hundred yards from where I live, but we still like to go for a cup of coffee. The service and quality is very good and there's a good view of the coastline, also with the large greensward it is a good place to take the children, so you can relax while they... More

I've been going into the stray cafe two or three times a week for my breakfast and the occasional lunch for the past TWO years. Every meal has been of a high standard. I have seen how they clean the place, it is also to a high standard. The staff are very friendly and bend over backwards to help people.

I always enjoy my visits here. The food is good and the staff are fantastic. They always take time to talk. The fact that the place is busy even in the winter months speaks volumes.

This is mine and my wife's 2nd trip to the cafe, whenever visiting family in Redcar we always make sure we pop in here now. The staff are super friendly and helpful, willing to help give us directions to other areas of Redcar. Scones just as good as last time we came! Only downside is it could do with a... More

Called around 4pm after a dog walk (left the dog in our car when we visited). Stood at the counter as if I was invisible. Staff gossiping among themselves and do not demonstrate customer care skills. Tea brought to the table in mucky looking mugs and banged down causing the contents to slop out. Everything about this establishment gives the... More

Dirty????? Seems to be a reoccurring complaint of late. Once again no report to staff about the dirty ness or their ignorance towards customers.... So wether your post is true or false, I must once again assure you that my business has received 5 stars for hygiene from the local authority since the system was put into place, and have... More

Sorry to hear that you were offended by a member of my staff, in an instance like this I would myself have chosen not to stay, however I would have reported the staff member and put my complaint into place before choosing to make accusations may they be true or false on Trip Advisor. I must stress The Stray Cafe... More
