My daughter recently brought me here for my birthday meal and having visited several times with her before I can honestly say that the standard of both food and service increases with every visit! This was the best meal I've had there to date and the live music was excellent. Well done all!

Having visited twice now, we have had excellent meals on both occasions. The Sunday lunch menu is different, but excellent. We really appreciated superbly cooked vegetables being served separately, rather than plated. Despite the restaurant being very busy, we were served by friendly staff with very little wait, but were not rushed in any way. Very good drinks selection at... More

We dined here twice last week. The staff are always friendly, efficient and happy. The food was tasty especially the Mushroom Wellington. On the second occasion we were seated in the dining area and not in the pub. This was a treat, so quiet and relaxing just perfect for a family meal. It is worth a visit if only to... More

This historic pub is within 5 minutes' drive - or 20 minutes' pleasant walk - of Dartington Hall, and a much better bet if you're staying at the Hall (or attending one of its many arts events) than the on-site White Hart. For one thing, it's still basically a pub offering unpretentious food, though the food is imaginatively presented in... More

First off Wow!! What a complete surprise this place was. Not only is it stunning from the outside with its beautiful thatched roof and flowers surrounding the car park and beer garden, but inside it is like stepping back in time. Which is easy to understand when you discover it is nearly 700 hundred years old. We were greeted by... More

We visit the Cott Inn every year when down in Devon and it never disappoints. This year we had dinner there and it was excellent. Good main courses and super desserts too. Highly recommended. Great atmosphere and lots of interesting features in this very old and historic building.

We stopped off here randomly as we were starving and the pub itself looked so beautiful from the outside; luckily we were not disappointed! We both had the brisket burger in brioche bun with sweet potato fries and red onion relish - it was the best burger I've ever tasted! Perfectly cooked and seasoned, the relish was superb and the... Visiting family in the area, we paid our second visit to the Cott Inn, and it won't be the last. We made our 1st visit in February and were really pleased with our meals, but not wanting to push the place based on just one visit, held back on a review, no longer! 2nd time of asking and the staff...
