When we arrived it was clear this was a popular place to eat and we were glad we booked a table! It's always a good sign when a pub is turning people away as all the tables are occupied. We ate there on a Sunday and the menu offered just the right amount of choice. The food was gorgeous and... More

As soon as we arrived in the car park, we knew we were in for a treat. It was a weekday lunchtime and the car park was full! This can only mean one thing, that the food must be good. We could only hope that the beautiful thatched exterior had an interior to match. We weren't disappointed. It was traditional... More

Since 're-discovering' this pub back in late October '14 I have been back there three times with various family members and friends. On every occasion the food has been excellent with a good selection plus specials and a good range of ales. The staff are polite, friendly and very helpful. Nothing seems to be too much trouble for them and... More

4 adults and one child weekday lunch was a delight at this ancient restaurant/pub . A huge menu choice with plenty of specials and great beers is on offer at this beauty of a building . Beams , old doors and windows , fireplaces big enough to hide in ! This place was a joy from start to finish .... More

A popular pub packed to the rafters even at 2pm on a Sunday, nevertheless the friendly barman managed to conjure up a table for us, brought the drinks to the table and took our food order, in very little time our food arrived, everything was lovely and we found out why the place was so busy. Many thanks for looking... More

Very friendly welcome by all the staff. Especially with our very enthusiastic dog. Had a great pulled pork burger, my wife loved her fish and chips. Thanks

Having not been to The Cott Inn for a meal for several years, a friend and I braved it today. And we were so glad we did. There was nothing at all we could fault: the atmosphere was warm and inviting; the staff were all friendly, helpful and efficient; the menu was varied with plenty of choice for vegetarians; the... December 30th is a bad time to have a birthday - so many places are quite because of the Christmas and New Year celebrations. However, the Cott Inn had a good buzz at lunch-time, with tasty food, friendly staff and a good atmosphere. It's an old thatched pub, so you shouldn't expect the interior decor to be modern, but those... More

We went to The Cott Inn with family, and our two pet dogs.. The staff were excellent, and our original table that had been held for us-was situated next to a couple with a dog who wasn't very relaxed, so they kindly moved us a little distance away, so that our dogs could relax. The food was lovely, and the... More
