Delightful place, wide range of food!

Seeking lunch, having made it over the causeway on a blustery day, the Sail Loft proved to be a real haven. With some time to burn my family visited Sail Loft on the isolated island of St Michaels Mount. Whilst the coffee provided was quite good, the food served was average. Things tasted microwaved or not as good as other establishments in the area.

Wandered over the causeway at a very leisurely pace stopping to look at the sea life between the cobbles, watch the seabirds , and take photographs. Nothing like sea air and a stroll to work up an appetite. Decided to have breakfast at the Sail Loft. Tea, toast, bacon, poached eggs, just fantastic. Lovely staff, good service, a bit of... More

A really lovely place to eat just at the foot of St Michael's Mount. The potted mackerel pate was sublime (I think that I'd brave the sea and the walk to go back there again just for this). Service was friendly and efficient and the bill didn't break the bank.

There can be few nicer places to eat. Situated at the foot of St Michaels Mount the food is fresh and tasty. Good local ale and cream tea makes this a worthwhile place to visit. And when you have filled up the walk up to the Mount gets rid of some of the calories.

was friendly staff, lovely cup of tea, much deserved after the trek up and down the hill cakes were a bit expensive, but a good portion, and home made which was a bonus,

After a wonderful visit around the gardens and house we just needed something to finish a great morning. The restaurant was busy but we were seated quickly and ordered crab and smoked salmon sandwiches which arrived promptly. They were delicious and fairly priced and ideal for what we were seeking.

I had a cream tea here while visiting St Michael's Mount and it was disappointing. There was no offer to warm up the scones. The service was OK. It lacked atmosphere and the very brightly coloured chairs didn't match the historic location.

We went there for lunch as a part of our visit of the St. Michael's Mount. At first we had to wait a long time to be seated and then again we had to wait about 15 min for the waiter finally got and took the order. Well...at least the food was good and the bill was not too expensive.... More

Ate here twice. Once for breakfast which was delicious. Bacon and poached eggs were cooked perfectly. We also had a lunch where we both ate sandwiches. Again both were lovely. Service was great especially considering how busy they were. We had lunch on a Thursday after it had been closed for 2 days in a row and it was packed!... More
