Description: Food served throughout the day Eating at the Godolphin Arms is a relaxed and informal affair and we offer an all-day menu to be enjoyed whatever the occasion or mood. Our food philosophy is simple; we want to provide freshly cooked food that tastes delicious, is beautifully presented and showcases the quality and seasonality of local Cornish produce. From hearty Cornish breakfasts to relaxed lunches and intimate dinners, our menu is inspired by living and working by the sea and produce grown and farmed locally. Fresh daily bakes of the most delicious desserts and cakes are also offered up, to be enjoyed alongside the perfect cappuccino or latte. Where to eat? Lots of natural, light bathed and restful spaces - all with far-reaching views out over Mount's Bay and St Michael's Mount. Sit in the new glass and zinc extension, with doors that open out for al fresco dining during the summer months. Celebrate with family or friends around the intimate Captain's Table that seats 9 or alternatively, relax in our upper deck that has easy sofas, comfy chairs and a logburner. On the lower deck, walk straight in off the beach to the colourful and chilled-out beach bar and dining area. Outside, the beach terrace remains a place to linger, absorb the astonishing views and simply watch the world go by.

Ate at the Godolphin twice - the food was excellent. Good service and beautifully presented food, tasty, hot and well priced. The alterations made to the restaurant are stunning and have opened the place up to fabulous views of the Mount and the bay. Will definitely be back!

The newly revamped Godolphin is a joy. ONly sat outside, with the picnic style tables newly painted in a lovely seaside blue. Service fast, polite, Food was wonderful, good portion size but not overwhelming, and delicous. It was a busy, sunny lunchtime and an enjoyable experience.

As a residents of Penzance and formerly Marazion, we decided to go to the Godolphin Arms to see the new renovations and have afternoon tea. From the minute we stepped inside the front door the noise was unbelievable, and whoever re-designed this former lovely typical Cornish hotel? It is now sterile and unwelcoming and is obviously now designed for visitors... More

Quite a basic menu but crucially the food was spot on. On our arrival we were warned of possible delays as they were packed(which they were), but the delays never materialised and we received swift courteous service. The chowder was especially good. If you're in Marazion I highly recommend eating here.

I have read the previous comments about the changes since we last visited, but ate here nevertheless. It may first appear to be simple menu with similar fayre to pub chains, but the difference here is the quality and the fact that it is expertly cooked from local produce. Lovely warm fish platter with excellent crispy batter. Only one reservation... More

We stayed at this pub almost 20 years ago but it has been transformed into a lovely place to eat. The staff are efficient friendly and helpful. Our food was hot and tasty. Its best asset by far are its unrivalled views across Mounts Bay - truly stunning. Well worth a visit either for afternoon tea or a yummy evening... More

My wife and friends ate here on two occasions on our recent holiday. The view over Mounts Bay was fantastic. The food was really, really good. The service was moderate - attention to detail a little lacking. Recently refurbished in a Scandinavian, minimalist style, with questionable modern 'art'. But the noise! There are absolutely no soft furnishings to absorb sound,... More

Took a chance with this restaurant. Food very well presented - chicken escallopini, sauté potatoes, tomato/rocket/red onion salad - and tasty. Main reason for choosing here was undoubtedly the spectacular view of St Michael's Mount. We were able to sit outside and the combination of a sunny day, location and good food is hard to beat. Reasonably priced food. Only... More
