Delicious Lunch

Lovely lunch in attractive restaurant. Service first class and friendly; food delicious and full of flavour. Fixed price 2 or 3 course lunch with wines matched to the dishes. Couldn't fault the lunch.

We had a fabulous evening at this restaurant. The staff were very friendly and the service was very good. The menu had just the right amount of options with good variety. The food was superb and everything was cooked to perfection! All in all a fantastic restaurant in a great setting.

Great food, excellent preparation, service attentive but not intrusive. We enjoyed both fish and meat dishes and got a delicious dessert (le chocolat moilleux was superbe). I personally did not particularly liked the decoration of the place, but who cares when you have such great food to concentrate on? Well done, UK cooking at its best!

We spent a weekend at the Goldolphin Arms and I booked this for my partners birthday as it had very good reviews and was just across the road from the hotel. We had a lovely time. The service was cheery and the food lovely. We had the cod and the venison and the selection of mini puddings to finish..which looked... More

What an amazing find this turned out to be. Our dinner was so wonderful that we decided to book for the following night too. Beautiful home-cured trout, tasty grey mullet, light mixed fish stew, catch of the day, perfectly cooked lamb... The list goes on. The waiter was delightful- a cheerful chap who was only too happy to check with... More

Booked dinner to eat with friends. Loved the interior of the restaurant very relaxing with lots of room around the tables. Service was excellent, the waiter was so efficient. All the fish we ate was delicious and so was the mixed pudding plate. It was a lovely experience and one I would repeat often if I lived closer.

We chose this restaurant from the Good Food Guide as it was the highest rated in the area for food when we were staying nearby. We weren't disappointed, the atmosphere was great and the food was excellent with some wonderful flavour combinations and everything was reasonably priced for this level of cooking. The "curry" dessert is obviously the thing that... More

My partner and I decided on this venue to celebrate my Birthday on the 4th March. Booked online and have to admit I was a bit doubtful when we saw the restaurant during the day as it looks a bit plain. However at night it is literally a different kettle of fish. The lighting and decor are spot on including... More

Another blissful meal.Sublime scallops with miso dressing, lovely pork tenderloin with delicious purees and pig cheek.Only disappointment was our creme brulee, which was a thin strip, barely a quarter inch thick, topped with an orangey jam/jelly.Far too sweet, more brulee would have helped.Wonderful service,as usual.

I have ticked the 'one of the best meals I have ever had' box on Tripadvisor which I did not even do for The 3 Michelin * Waterside Inn which I have visited several times. Once you have found a parking spot - probably impossible during the day in the Summer - you can relax here in the comfortable and... More
