Went here as our last evening out of the holiday expecting it to be pretty good from the reviews. After several experiences of earth chaotic service, this place was a lovely surprise. The good was just excellent. Great local dishes and seafood with steaks to die for. The monkfish and lemon sole were lovely. The service was really attentive and... More

I reviewed this restaurant approx 4years ago and was very happy with the food and service. On return to Guilvinec I heaved visited this restaurant on two occasions and once again was not disappointed. The food, service and atmosphere was absolutely terrific. The sheer quality of theRabelis is excellent and all at a reasonable price. Keep up the good work... More

The wife and I only have the one night out this holiday, sharing babysitting duty with our friends, with our little girl kind of behaving well enough to justify heading out. Having tried one of the more touristy guilvenic restaurants during the day last year, I was hoping for something a little more local this time round. Looked on Tripadvisor... More

Visited Sunday as only choice but returned Monday as good value and satisfying repas. The staff were really attentive especially considering they were stretched particularly on the Sunday.A good choice of dishes on the menu, very fair prices for good quality wine all in all content.

We came across this restaurant by accident having already disregarded the very expensive alternatives. We were very pleasantly surprised and had excellent service with help deciphering the menu. The ambience was good and the place appeared to be popular with the locals, always a good sign. The food was very good and also reasonably priced with the 'Menu du Jour'... More

The town of Guilvinec closes down at this time of the year and on a Tuesday night not many restaurants are opened here or close by with good ratings. The restaurant is warm and cozy and small. The two servers were cute and very pleasant. The patrons, not many, were young and, I think, locals( we were informed that the... More

We loved this restaurant so much we ate there twice. The steaks were to die for and the duck with raspeberry sauce and dauphinoise potatoes was divine. For the quality of the meal the price was reasonable. The service was excellent and the waitress explained any items on the menu we weren't sure about. We would definately recommend this restaurant,... More

We ate here twice on our holiday, the first time was so good we went back! Both adults and kids licked their plates clean! Can recommend the grilled king prawns and the mussels, but the meat eaters were also raving about their food. Definitely the best price/quality in the area. Book in advance, as they are very popular.

Tucked away from the main drag of the port, this place was amazing. The moules and the grilled meat were truly outstanding - beautifully cooked and presented. A real gem and great value.

In my opinion this is one of the best restuarants in the region. Guilvinec is famous for fish but if you want a change then Le Rabelais is the place to go. Excellet staff, food and atmosphere makes it a joy to go to. Children are well looked after and for those you in Campervans well the restuarant is only... More
