Description: A Ria is situated in Ferragudo along the quay side before the local market...
A Ria is situated in Ferragudo along the quay side before the local market off the main square. Ferraguo is one of the most picturesque fishing villages in Portugal. A Ria is a small restaurant which compliment Ferragudo specializing in local Algarvean cuisine such as Cataplana & Monk fish rice, cuttlefish and clams is the specialty of the house. Your visit to Ferragudo and A Ria would not be complete with out tasting fresh fish grilled across the road, served with potatoes and salad but will be happy to provide home made chips and fresh vegetable if preferred. The menu caters for everyone with some excellent steak options and a small children's menu. A Ria prepares all the dishes at the time of order ensuring each dish is fresh NB.this can cause some delays in the height of the summer when the restaurant is full, you can take this time to relax and enjoy a drink or a bottle of good quality Portuguese wine. WiFi is now available. A Ria is currently closed on Mondays. To guarantee your table reservations are excepted.

Family dinner whilst on holiday - the staff were all really friendly and attentive, I was recommended a fish which was beautifully cooked and washed down by a bottle of local wine - again another recommendation. Made my daughters evening by covering her beautiful Italian style meringue with strawberries - even though it wasn't on the menu, which just showed... More

We came to A Ria thanks to Trip Advisor and were very pleased with the choice. We can only confirm some of the recent reviews posted. Good food, wine, friendly and excellent service. Small, but we were lucky to find a place amongst all the reserved tables. Clientele was mainly tourists (its that time of year). I can recommend A... More

We visited this restaurant on our first night and we're very pleased with results but at that stage had nothing locally to compare it with. Having spent the last 10 nights in Ferraguda we have visited a number of other restaurants but this is our favourite. We went for the second time last night and it didn't disappoint. Service is... We went there following the recommendation of a friend; a good friend with good recommendations! The rice was amazing, the fish fresh and delicious, and the service was the best. A fabulous place.

this restaurant is a little gem - the staff are wonderful , very funny and so attentive - you can choose your own fresh fish to go on the grill and they will let you know exactly how much it will cost so there are no surprises and it is very reasonable - the children ate huge plates of lamb... A group of 5 of us visited for lunch and we were not disappointed . The staff were very friendly and could not do enough for us. They recommend a fish big enough for the five of us and it was cooked in the grill outside the restaurant by the harbour wall. We had prawns and fish soup as a... More

Dropped in for a late lunch. The setting of this restaurant is lovely, overlooking Ferragudo harbour, with the smells of the fresh fish grilling on the outdoor charcoal grills very enticing. The restaurant was relatively busy, but not too busy to affect the service. Good atmosphere in the outdoor seating area; although relatively short on space, not enough to feel... More
