Great Fish and Chips!

We visited the hotel during the day, my husband lived there as a teenager, and they were happy to serve us coffee even though they weren't officially open and let us have a look around. We returned on a Friday evening for Fish and Chip night, the food arrived in chip shop boxes which was a bit odd... read more

Spent a few days in Kilchoan and we ate here most nights. The food throughout was excellent, tasty and filling. The staff and locals were friendly and welcoming. Even the dog was made welcome. Nice place to chill out after days exploring the peninsula.

remarkably similar experience to last review, the atmosphere was poor and service was polite but not particularly friendly, the barman looked overworked to be honest? We also opted for the steak pie, which was good and filling, as the burger which was er... Just a burger in a bun ! No sauce, no chutney, no salad, no nothing, just a... More

Went on a Sunday evening when they were busy with a bikers' rally, but atmosphere in restaurant was morgue-like. Service polite but cool at best...surly at worst. Very good steak pie; appalling beefburger. So depressed by the whole experience we forwent pud and decided not to return as we'd intended on Friday for the much lauded fish and chips.

We were staying in a self catering cottage just outside Kilchoan and went there for Friday night fish and chips supper. Very tasty, not greasy, good sized portions and value for money. They are served in a box so you can decide whether to eat in or takeaway. We drove to the harbour and ate them there, looking out to... More

Good menu; excellent service by friendly people. Good enough that some members of our party had three meals here in 7 days.

Way off the beaten track but the journey is through amazing scenery. Don't expect five star luxury but very good for such an out off the way hotel.

Enjoyed eating here twice. Service a little slow but the food is worth the wait. Haddock & chips great. Scampi and chips also good. New manager and her team were very welcoming and we enjoyed our visits. The bar is fun too. Thanks. Can't wait to come back.

Great seashell and fish dinner. We were really surprised by the high quality of the meal. We took dinner twice there as a testimony.
