So this was one of the places every tourist guides were recommending to us. Our family had big expectations because of this. Fist thing, they didnt have a generator when the light went out. We were having dinner in the dark. Lots of mosquitoes. When ordering, i asked if they had a lobster, and they said they did. We ordered... More

The kawayanan grill platter is a good choice. It includes one clam, one crab, seaweeds salad, two shrimps, a slice of fish and a squid. The sinigang na hipon is also commendable. It is nice to eat on one of their kubo but temperature is quite warm and a little bit close to roadside so you can sometimes smell the... More

I don't know why this place is very popular with the locals. Ask the tricycle drivers or the tour guides for their list of the better restos to eat in Coron and, Kawayanan Grill will almost always be included. The food is mediocre and the service is poor. The crabs with butter garlic sauce we ordered were just steamed, with... More

You MUST have the mango shake when you go here. I loved the ambience with the nipa huts etc. This is the only restaurant my husband and I found to look 'safe' enough to eat at. Would definitely come back here when we go to Coron. A bit expensive compared to normal Philippine prices but you get the nice ambience... More

Awful service and the food isn't any good either, to be quite honest. Having been to most of the restaurants in Coron, I know, that this one could be left without visiting. We both ordered tiger prawns which was served in a oily, thick sauce and we had to ask a few times to get tissues with it as it... More

We had dined at this restaurant in hopes to be able to eat good Food aftr our exhausting island hoping. We are greatly disappointed since their seafood platter did not go well with our expectations. The fish is dry. Bicol express octopus was average in taste whilw their bulalo seems to be tasteless. Ambience was nice but food was not... More

Saw this also in Tripadvisor so we've tried it out. The place was nice, but food was so-so. We tried the seafood platter, and was disappointed. We thought it was fresh, but didn't seem so. The leche flan was okay though.

We ordered the seafood platter. If you are on an island you can't go wrong on seafood, right? Not this time. The seafood was not fresh, the blue swimmer crab was tiny we did not bother eating it. The squid was tough. We also had sinigang hipon. The broth was salty and not tart enough. It must have been the cooks day... More

+ Ambience is great because of its very local feel. - Food is so-so. We've ordered sinigang na hipon, grilled seafood platter and their version of dynamite. + Dynamite is ok. - Sinigang na hipon is not really special. Tastes like instant mix was used. It may be my fault, I shouldve asked first if it is instant, because I... More
