The best fisherman's catch

We return to Ulva every year and this time i had the best fisherman's catch ever. Well worth the £18 something! You name it it was on the plate. Really yum and i ate every bit. I wish they did a loyalty card as with the little ferry boat it is an expensive day out. It would be good to... read more

I only had tea and cake here but wish I had timed it for lunch. Charming place, nice staff, good menu. Worth taking the little ferry over from Mull.

Visited end of July and this place very nearly got a 1 star terrible review when the restuarant seating was full and my partner asked if we could have coffee and cake outside. The "No, because we use cups" was baffling since there were picnic benches outside! maybe a misunderstanding. However a table came available just as I was writing... More

What a stunning location. Perched on the Quay we had a fabulous lunch. The seafood platter was fresh, and great value including local potted crab oysters and much more. Followed in the afternoon by a boat trip to Fingals Cave.

Went as a familly of four with a teenager and a three year old for lunch before going on to Dervaig an Calgerry. The food was excellent, good value and well presented. The ferry crossing is about a 100 yards and only takes a minute, but it's a lovely way to start the visit. Highly recommended.

After a long walk on Ulva, it was great to find that the Boathouse served gluten-free cake. A very delicious chocolate almond cake. I really enjoyed this before catching the ferry back to Mull.

This place was a big surprise. We assumed that it would be tea and cake brought ashore from the mainland (Mull!). Not at all, it looks like they make everything there and whilst they do have tea and cake, both of which are very tasty, they also have quite a wide range of seafood available. We saw some of the... This was a very special experience. First summoning the tiny passenger ferry by changing the wooden signal board to red. Then stepping off the ferry onto the glorious tranquil car-free island of Ulva. Then lunch in The Boathouse - cosy with the best seafood on the planet. And the home baking was even better. Cancel all other holiday plans and... More
