Too Tempting for Just a Baguette

We had friends visiting and decided to go here for a quick baguette lunch. However, the special lunch time deal and the vision of other people's food being carried past us made us change our minds and we decided to order full meals. Three of us had fish and chips and one chose fishcakes. All of... read more

Had read many great reviews for this pub/restaurant and had wanted to try it for some time. Due to my travel arrangements my earliest option was for an 8.30pm booking on a Friday. We turned up on time and went into the restaurant, the decor was not to my taste. There were a group of six already there and ordering... More

We came across this place by accident, just driving around looking for a pub that served food. We were showed to a table in the rear of the bar area and given our menus by a friendly young waiter, after buying drinks at the bar and opening a tab as we wanted to eat. We decided on the fillet steak... More

The banner outside boldly proclaim "REAL ALES" however there were none to be found inside, just Carling, Peroni and a bitter. It was nice to sit outside in view of the church and scenery and have a drink in the sunshine and the staff were friendly - however after going in on the promise of real ales and not finding... Thank you for your comments. We are not quite sure what happened during your visit to us. We always have Greenking IPA, Grainstore 10:50 which is a Real Ale from Rutland, plus another, which of late has been Bass. I have checked with the bar staff and all ales have been consistently available for the past month. We can only... More

Our first visit to the George and Dragon (indeed our first visit to the village of Seaton) and it won't be our last. The George and Dragon is set in the lovely village of Seaton on the edge of the Welland Valley , the pub itself has lots of olde worlde charm , and as several other reviewers have said,... More

Visited for dinner during the week when dinner is half price on certain dishes,( not steaks ). We were originally seated in the bar area which was crowded with locals and not a good area as I was constantly jostled by people going to and from the bar. We requested being moved to the restaurant area which was granted. Restaurant... More

Tucked away in the beautiful village of Seaton, the George and Dragon is loused in a 17th century building with many of the original features intact. The bar area is small and intimate and the food was outstanding.

We stayed in a holiday cottage is Seaton for a week in March, and the George & Dragon was only about 100 metres from the door, so of course we tried this pub first before going to other pubs in neighbouring villages. What we found when we entered was an old, sweet room overflowing with warmth and character (and characters).... More

My Australian guest is a railway enthusiast,so today, March 27th 2015 I took him to see the Harringworth Viaduct. We were lucky to spot the pub restaurant as we searched for another vantage-point for more pictures and made our way back there for lunch - not knowing what to expect, but hungry. We were not disappointed! My guest had the... More
