Nice Village Pub

Visited this pub as we were staying in the village B&B. Looked ok from the outside. Asked for a table, and was left waiting then staff came and seated us after a bit of a wait. food was good, but had to wait awhile for it even though it wasn't that busy. lots of young staff that looked like they... read more

This place is a gem. I was visiting for one night only as I was hosting a regional quiz which the venue kindly agreed to host. Upon arriving (I was early), I was greeted by the friendly bar staff and after i'd set my equipment up, chatted with some locals at the bar. (A lovely bunch). The venue were asked... More

12 of us ate at the New Inn in April;the food, service and atmosphere was faultless. Sadly, standards have slipped and when 5 of us ate there recently the same could not be said. The car park entrance and front of the pub are weed covered, litter and barrel caps greet you on the way in. The staff are young & inexperienced (but... More

Friendly local pub, good selection of ales and other beers, great food. Also play in Banbury Aunt Sally league - traditional pub game every Thursday evening through the summer.

Was passing this place and had seen some positive reviews so decided to pop in for lunch. From the outside, first impressions were that it had been abandoned. Masses of weeds outside and months old flags & posters half hanging off the walls. Whilst the inside was, to our relief, much better, it soon became apparent that the "Landlord" and... More

We visited the new inn for sunday lunch with our family. The pub was not busy so we ordered and sat in the garden as the weather was warm. Whilst waiting for our dinner i was a tad concerned by the weeds and overgrown borders and how long the grass was and hoped this was not a reflection on the... More

just about staggering distance for me, they serve a good range of wines, spirits and most importantly beer with guest beers and the local brew Hooky. Not only that, on the food side they do the usual pub grub and more!

We arrived on an off day, late for lunch, having experienced nerve-racking car trouble that was controlled but not resolved. "Yes, of course" was the congenial reply when we asked if lunch was still available. Next, the choices: we four had moderately restrictive food requirements and we were a bit afraid the choices might be scant. The one vegetarian and... More

Had a nice me here last night May 1st. But it could have been better. Website needs up dating as I picked my starter & main before getting there. They weren't on the menu. My friend ordered the Barbecue ribs. It came on a slate and it was going all over the place. I had the butterfly chicken with bacon... More
