We were planning a visit to Thenford House and having looked at the good reviews for the New Inn, decided to book in for our party of 28 people. John was extremely helpful in providing some lovely menu choices. We had a warm welcome on arrival from all the team. The meal was very enjoyable and well presented and much... More

First visit here and really enjoyed it. We had travelled to see local band Acoustic Journey playing a gig at the pub and decided to eat here as well. We managed 3 courses and were really pleased with the menu choices available. The food was plentiful and piping hot when it arrived. The restaurant was very busy so we ate... More

It was great to walk into a village pub at just after 7pm in the evening and nearly all the tables were full.. The staff are great and really make you feel welcome. Sadly though £12 for a cheese burger and chips is over priced in my book. The burger was great and the chip were fresh not frozen rubbish... More

Recently had lunch at the New Inn and what a pleasant surprise. Warm friendly greeting from young barman who looked after us throughout our meal too, extensive menu with something for everyone and a bit different and nice little touches that made the whole experience a very enjoyable one. Clean toilets, nice decor and cosy atmosphere, many could learn from... More

Came across this gem whilst travelling south. A small detour off the M40. We chose two sharing platters and chips and were most impressed with the food. The pub was quiet but the bar manager looked after us well. He was helpful and chatty nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely call again when passing.

Wandered in here as the other pub in the village didn't do food. Nice atmosphere, nice ale and good sounds. The food was better than average but a little on the pricey side. Waitress was very sweet. Had a good early evening here and would probably return if I was ever here again.

Had a lovely girls' night out the other night at The New Inn. Robert our waiter was a star -- full of cheeky chat and most attentive in keeping the fizz flowing (v. important on a girls' night out). I had the homemade lasagne which was genuinely homemade and delicious. Didn't have a dessert, but Robert sneaked me four amaretti... More
