I was new inn town...

I was back in Banbury for a weekend over New Year so I decided to visit an old haunt and see how The New Inn was getting on. I got there with a few friends and was immediately tended to by the lovely blue haired waitress, upon whose recommendation I decided to have the hooky fish and chips...fair... read more

I recently went to the New Inn for a meal with my wife over a weekend and would have to say it was so nice to see a local village pub so buzzing with friendly conversation and a lovely warm welcome by the bar staff who really could not do enough for us. We ordered our meals with both of... More

Have eaten here several times over the last year, at lunchtime and in the evenings. The burger is a favourite in my family. The kids are always welcome and we're always well looked after - all the staff are very welcoming and friendly. There's a good homely feel to the pub especially when the log burner is on and a... Booked our sons 16th here and really had a great night. We had the barn and my son and three friends set up the Xbox on the huge screen full volume while we relaxed in the bar. It was a great night. All had burgers which were to die for. Excellent service from the front of house stay who really... More

I had fish and chips which was rather greasy. The pub was very busy we had the last table which was really badly positioned and wonky. Expensive for the quality of the food

Hi, I'm very sorry you felt the food was disappointing. If you'd have brought this to the attention of your waiter or waitress I'm sure they would have offered you an alternative. Most people are very happy with our food and I am confident that if you had raised your concerns with someone you would have been pleasantly surprised with... More

On arrival we were told that we had half an hour to order at 8.15pm, we ordered are drinks and when we advised them that the lemonade was flat our drinks were brought back and we were told there was nothing wrong with the lemonade! Literally 10 minutes after we arrived we were told we had to order as the... More

We were planning a visit to Thenford House and having looked at the good reviews for the New Inn, decided to book in for our party of 28 people. John was extremely helpful in providing some lovely menu choices. We had a warm welcome on arrival from all the team. The meal was very enjoyable and well presented and much... More

First visit here and really enjoyed it. We had travelled to see local band Acoustic Journey playing a gig at the pub and decided to eat here as well. We managed 3 courses and were really pleased with the menu choices available. The food was plentiful and piping hot when it arrived. The restaurant was very busy so we ate... More
