Lunch at salsitos

We stumbled upon this place completely by accident (we were searching for a place to park for a different restaurant), and what a wonderful accident it turned out to be!!! I loved this place; the brightly painted walls, colored glassware, Mexican artwork and collection of crosses create a cheerful and inviting atmosphere! The parking is right behind the building (a... We were craving fish tacos and decided to try this place at the recommendation of Armando from Silvermoon Gallery (a wonderful treasure to see different types of Mexican artwork and learn at the same time). Great recommendation. Decor is very nice and transports you to the vivid colors and culture of Mexico. Seating quite comfortable as well. Kids had the... More

Everything on the menu is delicious and you MUST try the cazuela to drink. However, beware of shadiness on the bill front. They added on a 15% tip for 6 or more of us...and then lied when we asked if the tip was already included. We double checked the bill and it was, in fact, added in. PS. Messing with... More

Wonderful food! The guacamole was massive and spot on. The first tacos came on a jicama slice instead of a tortilla and it was delicious, everybody visiting San Jose Del Cabo eat here!

To start we had the very best Margaritas in town. They have excellent flavored Margaritas. Try the LA CAZUELA. It is super. This restaurant right in the historic art district I feel is Chic and Fun place. It is small so best to go early as they can get rather busy. In keeping with the art deco, the inside was... More

I have reviewed this restaurant in the past, and have given rave reviews. With our last visit in February, we dined again during a May trip and my-oh-my...what a different experience. During our last visit, we fortunately made reservations during the Thursday art walk, as the place was packed. Before leaving the US, I again made reservations for Thursday art... More

Cute surroundings. Food and drinks generally very good. Guacamole and chips delicious. Margarita excellent (they didn't skimp on the Tequila). My queso fundido was wonderful. My husband's fish, unfortunately was overcooked. I also had squid -- a little greasy but very tasty. Flan for dessert was well made.

We had lunch here and the fish and shrimp tacos were good, but the guac and salsa were no better than Mexican restaurants at home. Margarita's were disappointing. What was more disappointing was the troupe that arrived to entertain us (we were the only people in the joint) and reminded us that "we play for tips". Er, I didn't ask... More
