Lunch on the beach

We did a day trip to Anguilla from St. Martin and our taxi driver brought us to Shoal Bay for a few hours on the beach at the Serenity. First of all... the beach here is absolutely beautiful. Powdery white sand, beautiful turquoise water and a great reef combined with next to no people made this a... read more

We stay at Serenity Cottages, so you would think we wouldn't appreciate being a 'captive audience' to their restaurant but nothing could be further from the truth! We have enjoyed every single meal we've ever had there. Seafood seems to be the specialty, but again everything is prepared so well. Dining at it's finest!

Our group of eight stormed into Serendipity for lunch. We quickly found our way to the grill on the beach. The drinks were pricey, but wonderful. The service was great and the food was fabulous! They were very kind to our rambunctious crowd and we loved every minute of our visit there. Don't pass this place up just because it... More

After a long trip from the states and a ferry ride to Anguilla we arrived at our short term residence. Villa Mimosa in Shoal Bay East. After being well greeted and oriented by the staff we unpacked and found ourselves ready forour first real meal of the day... the time was 7:30pm. We walked the short distance to Serenity and... The food is average and severely over priced. We ate there twice because we were basically grounded while we waited for our rental car. We had a $70 lack luster lunch and a $42 sparse breakfast. The Drinks were over priced as well.

Food here was not good when we visited in the middle of January this year. We were the only people at the restaurant at lunch time which should have been the first sign. We ate down by the beach bar and received food that tasted like it's best buy date had definitely passed. When I got the key lime pie... More

We came here at night and so cannot comment on the view, but the food and service were excellent. Our waitress was so sweet and it was a totally enjoyable experience. Would have loved to come back during the day so we could have seen our surroundings a little better.

Hard to beat the view here for lunch, but really a bit over priced. The grilled snapper sandwich was tasty, but at $19 perhaps a little over priced for the small piece of fish with tomato, lettuce and bun with a small amount of french fries. They do a have a delicious rum punch as well. OK food, with a... More

Food and service was just okay. Crayfish was good, but expensive. Salads had too much spicy dressing, rolls were fair, house wines not to my tastes, grouper pretty good but just a little dry. Dinner was pricey. It's such a nice place, I would try it again for breakfast or lunch.
