Description: A hidden gem tucked away in the quaint village of Monks Eleigh, The Swan...
A hidden gem tucked away in the quaint village of Monks Eleigh, The Swan is a beautiful thatched pub serving quality food in the heart of the Suffolk countryside. With its roots firmly established as a country pub, we will ensure that we always offer a great selection of regional cask ales coupled with quality "new world" wines. AA Rosette Mark Allen is our Executive Head Chef who designs our menus to make the very best use of all the delicious local, seasonal produce available.

I was lucky to have friends treat me to a wonderful meal at the Swan Inn, Monks Eleigh, Suffolk. The welcome from the staff was warm and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The food was so good I was easily tempted to have all three courses. Starting with the heritage tomatoes and mozzarella salad followed by pork three ways... More

Just a quick review; popped into the Swan for Dinner with my partner on a Saturday night, nicely re-furbed pub/restaurant but deadly quite. Usual youngsters serving, far too much "there you go" and "Did we enjoy the meal". Why don't restaurants train waiting staff properly? Food was good, service was just about adequate but irritating. Bill was High for two... More

My partner and I decided to go somewhere different for our Sunday lunch and came across The Swan as a suggestion. It was an enjoyable drive out to Monks Eleigh and as soon as we entered we were greeted by the very friendly staff. We were seated and the service was perfect, as was the food. The staff all worked... More

Visited here yesterday for my mother in laws birthday. Lovely, clean, friendly place. 3 of us had goats cheese for starters it was incredible, I could of eaten it 5 times over. Roast dinner was lovely big portion sizes, I couldn't fit desert in but the others had desert and it looked amazing. Defiantly be back soon!!

Enjoyed a well cooked meal with pleasant, attentive staff. The decor is a bit stark which gave the restaurant a slight unappealing atmosphere but cannot fault the food or the staff.

We came here a few years ago when it was owned by a very friendly couple and had an excellent meal, so we were rather taken aback to find it had changed hands and the name Hatfields for the group looks remarkably familiar to store in Colchester but the website does not reveal if it is part of the same... Visited Friday night with friends. The food was great and the customer service was excellent. I don't usually like to eat out in places, but The Swan's welcoming atmosphere made me feel really relaxed and comfortable, which was attributed in part by the restaurants subdued lighting and alluring oak interior. I would definitely visit again with friends for another meal!

Visiting nearby and feeling thirsty and a bit peckish called in for some tuck. Pub has recently been taken over by exclusive inns, lovely surrounding, modern and stylish ,we order whitebait , scotch egg, and of course the ubiquitous side order of fries. Very pleasant service and presentation not mention all very tasty. Look forward to sampling the menu again.
