Description: A hidden gem tucked away in the quaint village of Monks Eleigh, The Swan...
A hidden gem tucked away in the quaint village of Monks Eleigh, The Swan is a beautiful thatched pub serving quality food in the heart of the Suffolk countryside. With its roots firmly established as a country pub, we will ensure that we always offer a great selection of regional cask ales coupled with quality "new world" wines. AA Rosette Mark Allen is our Executive Head Chef who designs our menus to make the very best use of all the delicious local, seasonal produce available.

This pub looks great from outside, tastefully renovated and welcoming. On the inside its also well renovated with historic features retained but with modern furnishings. It's cosy but uncluttered. Very friendly and professional staff. Great service and good quality well presented food. Could not fault anything from the gleaming glasses on the tables, immaculate loos, speed of service, choice and... More

Wow! Driving past as lunchtime approached, The Swan looked the part for a quick bite. We stepped into one of those situations you talk about for years.... great staff reactions, even better food from the unassuming kitchen. Best fresh fish finger sandwich my son and I have tasted. ..home-made tarter sauce and double cooked chips to die for in their... More

Our family came here for dinner to celebrate Mum's birthday. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout the evening. Can't fault the service or the food as we ordered homemade scotch egg as a starter even though they weren't on the menu, they were fab!! all the food ordered was fantastic and the chocolate fondant is to die for! Huge compliments... More

Came here for Sunday lunch whilst visiting the area. Gorgeous building inside and out. The fires made it so homely and just what we needed as it was bitter out. The roast beef was great but the yorkshires were something else. Enjoyed by all the family. Service was was freindly but efficient.

Arrived quite late but managed to get our food order in before the kitchen closed for the rest of the afternoon, the swan is very well decorated and very clean including the restrooms, the service was excellent and the meals were also top notch, we had steak cooked perfectly accompanied by peppercorn sauce and some very tasty mash (instead of... We were tipped off that the Swan at Monks Eleigh in Suffolk was well worth a visit , and booked for lunch with a couple of dear friends. The interior was substantially refurbished and modernized last year , and has a contemporary and welcoming ambience . The bar is tastefully separated from the dining area , both having very comfortable... More

The Swan is our local so, as such, we need it to deliver consistently high standards in every way - service, food, reliability, ambience and welcome. It does not disappoint. Saturday night proved to be most enjoyable. A varied menu, attractively presented, tasty food, a good selection of wines, complemented by attentive, pleasant service. Thank you.

Firstly, congratulations for all the investment that has gone into this building. On entering it is clear that a lot of money has been spent 'doing up' the place. But rather than a village pub atmosphere it is a rather a generic, soulless and sparse interpretation of what a 'country restaurant' should be. I would describe the food as okay... More
