Description: A hidden gem tucked away in the quaint village of Monks Eleigh, The Swan...
A hidden gem tucked away in the quaint village of Monks Eleigh, The Swan is a beautiful thatched pub serving quality food in the heart of the Suffolk countryside. With its roots firmly established as a country pub, we will ensure that we always offer a great selection of regional cask ales coupled with quality "new world" wines. The Swan Inn looked attractive, so I called in for a drink and something to eat in the bar. As it was a Bank Holiday only a very limited menu was available, i.e. sandwiches. That in itself was a bit of a disappointment. I opted for a Club Sandwich. It was substantial and quite tasty. Service was excellent. Décor of... More

I went to The Swan in March 2015 for a family meal on a Sunday Afternoon. Initially the some of the staff seemed rude (to each other, not to us). Service was initially slow and when my starter came (which was Whitebait), the waitress unfortunately dropped it on the table, sending Whitebait over the table in my direction! However, the... More

After a late arrival home we thought we would try the swan that we new had been taken over by the Stoke/nay land group. Took some courage because we have been disappointed with previous owners on many occasions. Wow what a change! What a difference a change in ownership can make. Great food, excellent mixed seasonal veg cooked to perfection.... More

Great food and excellent service, they couldn't do enough to make you comfortable. Modernised character pub with light, bright rooms. Eclectic mix of furnishings and choice of styles. Menu a little limited but the food and service was well worth stopping off here.

We visited the swan for lunch for the first time and was very impressed with our visit. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and even played with our baby son whilst he sat at our table. The food was delicious and had a unique twist, especially their very own magnum. The decor inside was new and stylish, having a... More

We were driving by on our way to Lavenham and just happened to see this restaurant/pub and stopped in by chance. A very lucky find, just amazing roast beef and all the trimmings. Service was wonderful and welcoming and we will definitely return for a second time some time soon!

This pub looks great from outside, tastefully renovated and welcoming. On the inside its also well renovated with historic features retained but with modern furnishings. It's cosy but uncluttered. Very friendly and professional staff. Great service and good quality well presented food. Could not fault anything from the gleaming glasses on the tables, immaculate loos, speed of service, choice and... More
