A nice place. Subtle changes required.

Visited today. Family meal out on a nice day. My sister booked. We have not visited before. Nice place. Marstons ales. Good choice of food. My soup was clearly freshly made and whilst sweet potato and butternut squash would not be my first choice I enjoyed it. Nice, crispy, chunk of baguette... read more

Sunday lunchtime after a visit to Carsington Water and this pub was heaving. Most people were in the garden due to the nice weather so sitting inside , although warm it was quiet. We ordered food with two baguettes and three surf and turf medium rare.Sadly the steak was medium/well and such a shame as they were nice cuts of meat.... We stopped here on the off chance of somewhere to eat. This is a homely friendly pub. The staff were great. There was a good selection of beers. We decided to have pies from the special board. These were quickly cooked and brought to us. The food was lovely. After the meal we went and looked at the ostrich and... More

This place is a perfect example of a well managed pub. Food was excellent, with large portions that made the prices very good value. Staff professional and very helpful and the buildings and gardens are very well maintained. Highly recommended.

Stopped off after a long day walking for a Sunday Roast but was given a 'ding' meal. The meal consisted of re-heated deli counter beef, tasteless instant gravy, aunt bessies Yorkshire puddings, only the roast potatoes were homemade and fresh carrots and cauliflower. Was a £4.50 meal for £10.00 and its a shame a nice pub like this cannot put... More

I visited The Knockerdown Inn on the 27th June with family. We camped overnight and the facilities were very good. We ate in the pub that evening and the food was excellent. Me and my cousin had the dressed crab and would highly recommend it, it was gorgeous. When we returned home I realised my son had left his Ralph... More

Well done the Knockerdown the food was superb and the staff worked very hard through what turned out to be a lovely warm day and a very busy pub. My husband and I however make the mistake of buying a very small pop up two man tent to say this was small is an understatement never again. Well we was... More
