My family and I discovered The Knockerdown Inn in April 2014. We happened upon it whilst having a lazy Sunday drive from our homes near Sutton Coldfield. Since then we have returned every few weeks or so as we love the food, the atmosphere, the clean country air. Their Steak Pie is just delicious - my Dad and both my... More

Very friendly staff with good sense of humour - good old fashioned pub food; tasty snack type food. My wife had a delicious Goats cheese dish with honey and walnuts and I had a very tasty baguette with ham and tomato etc.

Stayed here for one night only, camping in a VW camper van. Lovely setting overlooking Carsington Water, clean campsite which was well layed out and clean facilities. Pub food really nice (I can recommend the steak and kidney pudding) and the hosts couldn't have been better, even going to great lengths to find me a phone charger when my battery... More

Beef and Pork top quality.Vegetables tasted great but looked like complan.Cabbage, cauliflower and carrot. The plate of veg looked unattractive. Disabled Toilet sink needed a good clean.Looked like it hadn't been cleaned for a few days.

We visited this place on May bank holiday and booked over the phone after reading trip advisor reviews. Despite the pub being busy the staff remained very efficient and amenable, the food was nice and we didn't have to wait very long. The bonus for us was the large beer garden with a small kids playground at one end with... More

We wanted to stop off somewhere on the way home for a quick meal and struggled to find anywhere open between Ashbourne and Carsington. In the end we stopped off at the Knockerdown Inn which is right next to the lake. Big parking area and what looked like a nice camping ground . Could not see any hard standing it... More

Called in here with the family after a trip to Carsington. There were 6 adults in total and 6 children. The bar staff were the most miserable staff I've ever come across, if you don't like your job or the public then I suggest you don't work behind a bar! Gave us the wrong drinks and served us with a... More
