We often call in here and have never had any but a good time. Sunday roasts are great and the steak and kidney pudding is lovely too. Kids love the outside play area. Great pizzas when camping too

We had steak, which was tender and cooked perfectly, the large "monster grill" which was excellent and not for the faint hearted. The children's menu is one of the best kids menu I have ever seen and my... More

First time for food monster grill not worth £16.99 sausages looked like they had seen better days and didn't taste nice, steak baguette tasteless, children's pizza looked like it had been microwaved too long, if we weren't there for a birthday get together would have complained but didn't want to spoil it for the others spending £40 odd for food... We called into the Knockerdown Inn on the off chance of an evening meal. Dogs welcome (but on a lead) with a good choice of home-cooked food. We both chose the home-made Steak & Kidney pie. Good price with a lot of meat packed inside (compared to some that come with a lot of hot air). Good choice of drinks.... More

We purchased a Groupon voucher for a 2 course Sunday lunch (£20 for 2) and booked our reservation, Peak district pubs have a reputation for serving good food so we were looking forward to our meal. It was disappointing, there was a choice of beef or pork, no option for having a little bit of each, and if a Yorkshire... More

Two course Sunday lunch was okay, service was okay and all at a resonable okay price. The Knockerdown is a traditional style pub serving a good choice of drinks and a decent menu choice. There is plenty of outside seating and I can imagine in summer that this is quite a popular place to stop for a drink and bite... More

Called in for lunch today and we had a pair of baguettes - one beef, one prawn. Both were full of filling and a good sized portion of salad and chips. Very tasty!
