Our meal was booked at the very last minute but as always we were made to feel very welcome by Aly and the team. Food orders were taken very promptly at a busy Saturday night service and delicious starters were soon served. We had the soup and the two cheese dishes, both were amazing and were accompanied by homemade bread.... More

We came to the ship based on previous reviews and were not disappointed. We arrived during peak hours with a pram with our 3 month old. The staff were very accommodating, made room for us. The food was exceptional we will be recommending to family and we will be back ourselves when in this part if the world

Having not visited for a few months it was great to find Greg's cooking to be as good, if not better than ever. All 3 of us thoroughly enjoyed each course.

We had a lovely meal here. The food is very good, the ambience is nice, not too many tables crammed in, and the menu is sensibly priced. It wasn't flawless - some of the flavours were repeated in the starter and main - but these were very minor points. Will definitely come again, in fact would like to go twice... More

Had a fabulous meal cooked by Greg and his team. Wonderful food and sensibly priced. The staff are helpful and knowledgable. I have purchased their premium Cornish ready meals (at Truro Farmers market on Wednesday). The food was excellent. I particularly enjoyed the slow cooked belly pork with the apple & sultana chutney. Keep the good work up guys, I... More

Good menu. Informally efficient & friendly service. Excellent food, well prepared, tasty, good flavour combinations, a treat for the taste buds, consistent through from starter to dessert, worthy of fine dining status. Definitely would return here.

We stayed in Mawgan in August just 15 mins walk from the Ship and we went there twice for dinner. We wouldn't have returned if we had been in the slightest bit disappointed on the first visit. The pub was quite busy and every table in the restaurant was occupied on both occasions. Pleasant bar, friendly staff and good service.... More

Went to this hotel with my partner and 3 children in August. Asked to share a garlic bread for the kids and was brought one slice of garlic bread at 3.25. Ordered the crab as a main and literally got 2 dessert spoons of crab and was charged 13.00 for it. Ridiculous servings and when queried with the waitress got... More

Thank you for your review, In reply to your comments...The one portion of garlic bread ordered for your 3 children to share was part of our children's menu priced at £5.95 for a main course £7.95 for 2 courses and £8.95 for 3 courses this would mean the most you would have paid for your home made bread with home...
