First time visitors me and my fiancé came here to celebrate my birthday. Were both massive sea food fans and have eating some of the finest fish in Japan. A friend had recommended this place knowing we would appreciate the choice of seafood. At the start of the meal a very friendly waitress tempted us with the sashimi starter and... More

Hadn’t eaten here for some time though I always bought fresh fish here to cook at home. We booked for Sparkling Fish Friday; a deal which offers haddock with chips or fries and a glass of Prosecco – all for £9.95. Our waitress was friendly and when I asked if I could order a different glass of wine to the... More

I visit loch fyne in gosforth frequently with friends as I often stay with business in the area. The restaurant is very pretty - a converted church that is lit up with fairy lights inside. There is a top floor which is open when it is more busy. The food is very good - this is one of the best... More

Located in a converted church on Gosforth High Street, Loch Fyne's interior really is very impressive. The food is always good, and the staff are pleasant. Perfect for seafood lovers, but the steaks are good too if you're not a fan. Only drawback is I often find it a little cold and drafty, particularly in the winter, however I guess... More

My husband and I had the set menu and it started off reasonably well. Potted mackerel was very nice and tasty, then came the main which was dab fish with a side of potatoes. Whilst the fish was well cooked the potatoes were rock hard. We sent them back and a couple of minutes later a waiter carelessly put them... More

Thank you so much Loch Fyne! We visited last night to celebrate mine and my new fiance's engagement with our family. The resturant is so lovely; lovely welcome, pretty fairy lights and staff couldnt be more helpful/friendly. Our waiter Fergus was very helpful and helped us decide to try oysters for the first time! That was an experience in itself... More

I have been to this restaurant several times and it has always provided good quality, good service and an excellent ambiance, and although it is part of a chain it feels a unique experience mainly because of it's location in a delightful old church building. It is not just fish and seafood, but I would advise anyone going to stick... More

A group of 4 of us had lunch at Loch Fyne as it is one of the few places we can all agree on. I was a little concerned with some of the more recent reviews that I had read about service and portion sizes at this particular restaurant but went with an open mind. In the event we were... More
