A taste of Scotland south of the border

Loch Fyne is consistently good. This is my fifth visit (each a different location). Gosforth is within a converted United Reform church, its spacious, airy and a delight to sit in. Conversation could flow well, no loud music, service staff attentive but not obtrusive and we were given all night to... read more

I usually visit this restaurant about once a fortnight because I enjoy the food, and I am always happy with the service, and like the atmosphere. It is certainly not the cheapest restaurant in the area, but given the quality it is very god value.

I did not no this gem of a restaurant existed. The surroundings are great. Service exceptional and the food tastes so fresh excellent. We usually go upto OBAN to go to a fish restaurant but now we know this one is on our doorstep and at such a good price and with a great selections of wines we will be... More

This restaurant is set in a beautiful Church on Gosforth High Street. Inside it is pleasant enough and the atmosphere is good. We were seated by a young man but then totally ignored for the next 15 minutes. Our wine order was eventually taken and to be honest for this type of restaurant the wine was expensive at £19 for... We were going to the Chippery but wanted a sit down place. We are surprised this place is not rated higher. The fish was the freshest we had during our two weeks in England and the Chips were out of this world. Our waitress Pamela was friendly and attentive. The manager came by to make sure we were satisfied. We... More

I have just enjoyed the tastiest Eggs Benedict I've had in ages at Loch Fyne in Gosforth. My friend had the full Scottish Breakfast and it looked lovely. The service was fast and friendly but not hurried at all. The prices were fairly reasonable too, given the quality of the ingredients. Highly recommended!
