Really nice to find a place that have more than 1veggie option...and offer them at the same price as a carvery.nut roasts are brilliant.and to top it off the staff are really friendly.the gardens are well looked after....well worth a try.

After visiting. The flying dutchman at Queenborough I thought I would comment on how well the gardens are kept on arrival very clean tidy family friendly. Pub was going to have the carvery at 3.95 but as soon as kitchen opened the scramble for the carvery was amazing so opted for the 16 ounce steak misses had the fish and... More

We visited as a family of four and we all had the carvery. It was ok, not the best but served a purpose. The only choice of veg was peas, cabbage and carrots. It would have been nice to have more choice and more roasted vegetables, there was no stuffing. The décor was ok, a bit dark! We sat outside... More

Went on August bank holiday at 4pm . First impression was very gloomy decor. Had obviously been very busy and had run out of most meats when we were ready to eat. Waited for fresh meats-young woman serving obviously under huge pressure with a long queue waiting but she maintained a very pleasant manner throughout, apologising regularly for the delay.... More

I haven't visited the Flying Dutchman for a good few years but had a very enjoyable carvery with friends. The meat was good and plentiful. Not much choice of vegetables but it was later in the evening do maybe this had an impact ? The food was decent value for money , although they kept running out of bottled beers... More

We went here today for our Sunday lunch as we have heard good things about this place and it would appear it was all true. The beef and turkey were both good cuts with plenty of vegetables on offer. Very impressed we will be back again

After a long gap of not eating at the Flying Dutchman, I have eaten there twice in one week. I cannot fault any part of either experience. The first was a Friday lunch with friends, we all had carvery and thoroughly enjoyed the food and the experience. As we were leaving it was pouring with rain and showed no signs... More

Hadn't been to the flying dutchman for a few years but heard it was under new management so we decided to give it a try. The staff were very friendly. The restaurant was very dark and would benefit from better lighting. The majority of the food was very good and it was good value for money. That said, we were... More

Had a great meal, everything was cooked perfectly. Staff were helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. Defiantly go back for more. Thank you for making my sons birthday bringing out his cake. Xx
