After a long gap of not eating at the Flying Dutchman, I have eaten there twice in one week. I cannot fault any part of either experience. The first was a Friday lunch with friends, we all had carvery and thoroughly enjoyed the food and the experience. As we were leaving it was pouring with rain and showed no signs... More

Hadn't been to the flying dutchman for a few years but heard it was under new management so we decided to give it a try. The staff were very friendly. The restaurant was very dark and would benefit from better lighting. The majority of the food was very good and it was good value for money. That said, we were... More

Had a great meal, everything was cooked perfectly. Staff were helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. Defiantly go back for more. Thank you for making my sons birthday bringing out his cake. Xx

Thought we'd try it for a bar meal as it is under new management. Wish we hadn't bothered. It was dark, dingey and dirty. Thick dust on dado rails and on chairs. Food unremarkable. Won't be going back!

I found that this restaurant/pub is quite good for its presentation of food, but at the time of my visit it was having problems due to the lack of staff on duty

A family night out where we enjoyed a very enjoyable evening..A lovely roast dinner with a choice of 3 meats and all the trimmings, served hot and at a superb price of £4.95. A clean restaurant offering a good choice of food on the menu also available. The new owner serving behind the bar - 1st impression was miserable guy... More
