No frills. If you don't want somewhere quiet and romantic. And you're a family, eating out on a shoestring but you want a cut above the average, go on a Monday night. It's steak night. Went for lunch on recommendation and wasn't disappointed. Lovely home cooked food, had the meat and potatoe pie which was served quickly and piping hot ! Great value for money with the two dine for £9.99. Hope to visit again soon.

I phoned up on the morning and was fitted in for a Sunday dinner for two. The meal was served quickly and was lovely with vegetables cooked to perfection. We followed it up with a desert each which were both well presented and delicious. We will be back.

Now on my fourth visit and will keep going back, as little to beat the quality, service and price in the area. The "two can dine for £9.95" offer is amazing value - covers opening through to 5pm six days a week. The meat and potato pie, and burger and chips are personal favourites. Quality is great, as is the... More

But if you're looking for delicious food, well cooked, and a varied menu, in a lovely, homely, welcoming pub with friendly staff and great service, this is the place. I've been a couple of times recently and omitted to post a review. Last night I went again with five friends. Not one... More

Had an unexpected mid week lunch here last week . Havnt been here for many years and wasn't sure if it had been 'refurbed' or not . If it has it is done in a simple traditional style . Both choose the same from the decent and varied menu. Service was friendly and staff welcoming . The food arrived most... More

The Fish and Chips in this pub are the best that my family have taste anywhere. they pass the test. The batter is amazingly crispy and the chips just perfect. Mushy Peas are stunning. Cozy gastro pub with excellent food you would have to go a country mile to beat. I have dined here at least once a month for many years, the menu is simple yet diverse enough to suit most tastes. Always great daily specials on the board with quality ingredients all served in a friendly & relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommended for... More
