Easter meal

Went to the Maldon prom for a nice Sunday meal and we weren't disappointed at all. You can tell this was a popular place as it was packed inside and out. The food was lovely and the staff was kind. Definitely coming back. Oh and yes, their berries and bread pudding was easterly heavenly good!!!

First time I have eaten in the restaurant ~ a group of 7. Restaurant & pub very busy. Table was ready ~ drinks order taken/delivered promptly. Menus given ~ not a huge menu supplemented by couple of specials ~ nice tempting offerings. I declined starter in favour of dessert but did share few mouthfuls of squid ~ very delicious ~... More

There's many quaint, historical, cosy pubs in Maldon, but the Queens Head tops them all in my opinion, an opinion based on a broad spread of types of people who'd possibly use and enjoy the facilities/services and on many of my visits that I simply cannot knock. Excellent friendly switched on staff in the pub and restaurant. Though the restaurant... More

A short review as nothing has really changed since our last visit. Good decor, good menu, good portions, good prices and very quick service. The only area to let them down was the attitude of the bar staff. When paying my transaction failed and the member of staff serving me made me feel that it was my fault!

This is a great place to go especially on a nice day when you can sit outside. The food is always good, we can recommend the Moroccan chicken and the sandwiches. The staff are always friendly. Although we can visit this pub any time we have never been let down on food. Apparently the beer is always in perfect condition... More

We had Sunday lunch in the restaurant. It ranks as one of the best pub Sunday lunches we have ever had, and at about £20 for three courses, unbeatable value. The Queens Head is a real 'old-time' character pub, and we found all the staff to be really friendly and helpful. Beer good to, and quite a good choice including... More
