Mix of locals, sailors & dog lovers at this pub. Decent selection of real ales ( pint of hophead & glass of Merlot £7.20) Noisy but friendly atmosphere - clearly popular. Good place to come with your mates at any time of day

The food there was delicious and affordable, we were served quickly and the staff were friendly. Nice place to stop for lunch with a beautiful view.

For once we came here mid winter instead of sitting outside in the boiling sunshine Bright sunshine but freezing cold. What a warm welc and the ome! The pub was warm and cosy and our lunches fantastic. I had pan fried chicken and bubble and squeak fried with cabbage and bacon . The others had Rib eye steaks with chips,salad... More

Having visited the Queens Head in the summer when it was heaving with customers, it was refreshing to visit in January. Too cold to sit outside the bar was comfortable and welcoming, We had a light lunch which was well presented and served quickly by friendly smiling staff. Lunch for two at £12.00 was great value.

Arrived with my girlfriend and her family. The first thing I noticed was the brilliant location. The view of the harbour is stunning, and the pub is located right near the water front. We went into the restaurant and went to a table. It was busy but the wait at the bar was not long, and neither was the wait... More

Had lunch at Queens Head. This is a straightforward pub restaurant, but right on the Hythe so from the table there was a very good view over the water, even if it was a bit misty. The food was reasonable - I had haddock and chips; my wife had a cold seafood platter (prawns, salmon, mackerel etc). One thing -... More

Another excellent lunch , on a cold damp November Saturday. It was not very busy but as always , the service was very good but the meals take an age to arrive ! Fortunately , as we have been before, we bought some puzzle's for the Boys to do. The Boys, had the huge fish and chips and the other... More

We popped in for lunch in New Year's Day, there were 4 of us, despite being incredibly busy we got a table. Thanks for squeezing us in! The fish and chips were divine, beautiful white fish, super chips, even the tartare sauce was scrummy. Very tasty and everything was served hot. Attentive service as well, the staff are lovely. Another... More

Quick pub lunch for two. Good helpful friendly service. Jacket potato with smoked salmon and philly comes with salad. Odd presentation. Lump of smoked salmon covering scoop of philly cheese perched on small whole cooked jacket potato and interesting salad discovered under pile of lettuce with sliced red pepper whole baby tomatoes and cucumber and cole slaw. Soup was carrot... More
