We “discovered” To Steki already during our first visit in Platy Gialos (in 1987). Since then we came to Sifnos every year for a longer stay and in all this time we couldn´t find a better place to eat than To Steki! In fact, before planning the next visit, we call Antonis (the owner) to check if he is still... More

Since 1979 the view of Plati Gialos hasn't changed much. OK it has grown a little and there is a small harbour now, but if you want good solid local food, at a reasonable price, you will struggle to beat this place. Yes the service can be a little slow, but he,y just have another beer and kick back. The... More

Had a long lazy lunch here on one of the trestle table outside by the water. We drank ouzo with friends and had some local specialities, dark green beans, stewed goat, garlic sauce and cheese wrapped in wine. Ate amazing calamari, a type of falafel and fish we chose from the display caught that morning. All the food was local... More

We are somewhat spoiled with the great food in Sifnos, but this was very much lower than average quality food and since we sampled many dishes I am sure this is not a coincidence. I doubt that they used much olive oil, and if so not of the greatest quality. The sausages were bad, much like bad German bratwurst. The... More

This restaurant, although very similar to most of the others here in their offerings,' had a twist to their dishes making them optically more desirable and much tastier. The constantly alert and kind staff pampered us constantly.Great house wine!

Out of all the chick pea balls we had over a 2 week stay in Greece this was hands down the best as they used fresh spearmint mixed in with this light filling and perfectly freed. The rest of the meal was just as good, fantastic sea bream, sardines and wine. This was our favorite spot on the island.

Located right at the waters edge, To Steki can boast one of the best locations in Platis Gialos. Food is traditional Greek fare prepared with care and is delicious. Wait staff is friendly and even when the restaurant was pretty full delivered good service. Definitely worth visiting while in PG.

A mainstay of good local cooking by the seashore at Platys Yalos. On moonlit nights this is a memorable spot. And it's nice and cool for lunch or an ouzo after a swim at the beach right in front. Antonis, his son Apostolos and an efficient crew serve excellent local food with meats from their own herds, traditional Greek and... More

Very good traditional Greek food, with well-prepared fish (when available). Nice relaxed/family atmosphere. Good service. Very nice view on the incoming waves..; you could not be closer to the sea!
