Relaxing & enjoyable after a long drive.

Very welcoming; found us a table even though extremely busy. Service was friendly and helpful. Food was simple, as one would expect, and very good, and added variety to the French gastronomy of our trip. The owner offered second helpings of the "broth" that comes with the kebabs and couscous as we... read more

We were greeted with a handshake and treated very amiably during our visit to this chic little restaurant. Very popular with locals so we were lucky to get seats. The food was superb and we were offered more - so no question about value-for-money. We thought the service, visit by the chef and the food made this an excellent experience... More

A couscoussiere was a new experience for us both. It was an interesting menu which the staff explained to us (with our limited French) the food was very tasty and the portions generous. The service was friendly and efficient. They genuinely wanted us to enjoy the experience. A basic English translation would have been helpful.

Very good north African food mainly Couscous various types, all came with a large bowl of vegetable broth/soup and plenty of meat, kebabs chicken and lamb. Service was a bit slow as the staff spent some time talking to the regulars. (Good sign) The red unexplained or identified paste casually placed on the table was the heat regulator Mild to... More

Our experience at La Couscoussiere was different to most other reviewers. While we would agree that the food is of a good standard the same cannot be said about the service. There is a continual push to get you to order more than you need. We explained to the waitress that we were not particularly hungry and only wanted a... More

Friendly restaurant in the middle of this small village: wide selection of mainly couscous dishes. Very friendly service, good quality.

A travelling companion and myself walked into this fabulous place the other night, very tired after walking all over the hills and ruined medieval chateau (Chateau Gaillard) above. The unbelievably welcoming host, Hachemi, offered us first soft drinks to cool down, then an apéro, then a full couscous and wine, all for absolutely nothing, however much we pleaded with him...
