Three of us for supper on a Sunday night...we enjoyed our stay on this patio. It was quite full and the other diners all seemed like nice folks; in fact, we struck up a conversation with another table. It's that kind of place. There's an inside and an outside; of course on a lovely summer evening, there was nobody inside... More

Past reviews of this restaurant are very mixed, so we were a bit ambivalent about eating there. We neede have been! The food was excellent, promptly, efficiently and cheerfully served. Our table was on the patio, so we ate to the accompaniment of the sound of water -- nice! We both had the soup of the day, a chilled melon... More

Title pretty much sums it up. Indoor dining looks quite nice, outdoor is fine, unfortunately the food is not worth the prices being charged or is it that good, regardless of price. $16 for a "sirloin burger" and fries, please, then add on $7.50 for a draft beer, double please. The patty wasn't anything better than I would have gotten... More

This was the worst place I have ever eaten in. The food was horrible, the service was worst. Everyone on the patio around us had sent their food back. AVOID AT ALL COST.

Our waiter was fantastic the restaurant is nice with a great patio on the water. We ordered the poutine, warm cheese dip and pesto chicken penne. The poutine gravy was flavorless but salty. The warm cheese dip might have equaled 2 tablespoons of dip for $12, the chicken pesto penne was flavorless. We told the waiter there wasn't any pesto... More

We had dinner at The Cellar on July 8 and had a very enjoyable meal. My husband had the NY Striploin and it was cooked just as he ordered it. He said it was tender and delicious. I had the Grilled Atlantic Salmon and it was delicious. We did not wait too long for our dinners to arrive and our... More

Let me preface this review with the idea that I honestly review restaurants. We had dinner on July 1st and sat outside. There was only one waitress available for all of the tables. This, of course, slowed down service to a crawl. We must have waited 15 minutes just to be greeted. We ordered the prosciutto & spinach stuffed chicken... More

We are glad that The Cellar in Elora has re-opened after a disasterous water leak last winter. We had the quinoa salad with salmon and it was delicious. The quinoa had a subtle flavour that did not compete with the perfectly cooked fish. An excellent dish that Chef has created. Live music was playing while we were there. They were... More

Beautiful patio overlooking the river. Our waiter seemed a bit put out to have to deal with us. Very good food but would have hoped to have more than 3 shrimp in a dish that featured shrimp and more than three very thin, not very ripe, slices of avocado in my daughter's salad. The potential for a great restaurant ...... More
