Delicious light lunch!!

We were passing by when we were attracted by the name of the pub!! "The Moody Mare" and decided to stop for lunch!! With no expectations we were welcomed into the pub by a friendly bar staff! Sat down on lovely leather sofa and ordered from menu! Good selection, but only wanted a light lunch so... read more

I have good memories of The Beeches, but unfortunately I was disappointed by The Moody Mare. The service was extremely slow and the food was extremely expensive considering it didn't taste that nice. My nan had taken me and my husband there as a trial run to see if she wanted to go there for her birthday. As you can... More

We visited this restaurant a week ago as a party of six and it was quite enjoyable. However, by chance, I happened to glance at the bill today and was horrified to spot a £22 service charge. Not at the bottom where you would expect it to be when you came to settle up, but hidden halfway up a bill... More

We had been booked in elsewhere for my birthday, but arrived to find that the restaurant was closed due to a gas leak so had to try and find an alternative. It was almost the last stop before the chippy as we pulled into the car park at The Moody Mare and we had no idea what we would find.... More

Now known as the Moody Mare which invited us to call in and check out. The menu is good for all those of 'normal' taste and all those in our party enjoyed what they had ordered. Myself and one other had the chocolate brownie dessert and both said it was the best ever. Service was good, cost resolvable, my only... More

We had pre ordered and the service was second to non and the food ( all dishes) from the comments passed was superb (the pork for one mmm). Attentive staff but not ''in your face'' will certainly go again - probably this weekend - Table for four Saturday Evening ??

We visited the Moody Mare on a Saturday lunchtime. Just off the seven mile lane, the pub was quiet with only a handful of cars in the car park. The landlord and landlady as well as the bar staff were very welcoming and friendly - providing polite, courteous and engaging service throughout. Our sandwiches (fish finger with tartare sauce and... More

This is a little gem of a place, it's recently been rebranded the Moody Mare, which suits my personality if I end up having a bad dining experience. However, I've not been disappointed yet and I've been back 4 times in the last few weeks! Often when you dine out and have a restrictive diet, it takes forever wading through... More

A warm welcoming. With an outstanding genuine care for customers. Lovely décor & amazing staff. Our meals where out of this world, packed with taste and great presentation. My girlfriend and I had a amazing evening and we would both highly recommend. Price was great too!
