Well established and creative décor and landscaping have made this a "must visit" restaurant. Violet Hill is on the map thanks to Mrs. Mitchells and Heidi's Room.

The caption says it all. This is our 3rd visit and the chef is amazing. Creative, fresh, daily specials and a menu that can't be beat. The sole stuffed with lobster was perfect. Yummy salads, superb sausage penne, Reuben sandwiches and beef dips, even home made meatloaf!!!

This wonderful restaurant in tucked away in a tiny hamlet in Ontario. The service is impeccable, the setting is historic and beautifully restored, and the food was fresh and excellently prepared. Warm, crusty roles preceed the meal, with Johnny Cakes served with the entres. Good drink menu and a nice selection of beers complement the meals. I loved this place... More

A friend from Shelburne recently treated us for lunch at Mrs. Mitchell's Restaurant, before our flight from Pearson International Airport back to Vancouver. Our lunch choices from the menu were excellent. The warm biscuits were wonderful. Our shared mushroom soup appetizer was sumptuous. Main course offerings were generous portions and delicious! The heritage features. of this old school in Violet... More

A birthday brunch for 13 people on a cold and snowy day turned into one of the nicest parties our family has ever had. The atmosphere at Mrs. Mitchell's was lovely - and the roaring fire was divine on such a chilly day. The food was spectacular, the service friendly but discreet. I would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone... More

My husband and I took my parents for a drive to see the fall colours and made a reservation at Mrs. Mitchell's for lunch. The restaurant is in an old school house in the country. Nice and rustic with a fireplace and hardwood floors. Our meal was scrumptious with fresh salad and hot tasty soup plus scrumptious main dish of... More

Wonderful meal, food and service. My husband and I were greeted so kindly at Mrs. Mitchell's it was as if we had been going there for years. This was our first visit by the way. We did make reservation and lucky us because the place was full. We both would give our food a 10 as well as the service... More

We went here after it being recommended by a few people we know, we were not disappointed, we had a wonderful evening with good food and service. The food portions are excellent and are very tasty, lots of seafood on the menu which I like but there is plenty of options if you don't want seafood. We both liked the... More

This is my favorite restaurant in Dufferin County! My husband and I went for dinner tonight and were pleased to make a reservation earlier today. When making the reservation, I asked for the features and as soon as I heard chicken and goat cheese in the same breath, I said I knew what I would be having! We arrived at... More
