The restaurant has a very beautiful setting and comfortable location but very bad service. We have been traveling for three weeks in Spain and we have never been served in such an unwelcoming manner. From the moment we've entered we have been given a feeling of unexpected and unwanted guests. The food is very good, but really nothing special therefore... More

we were staying in nearby Zahara de los Altunes and Heard about this place from the owner of a local resturant. we weren´t disappointed. the atmosphere is incredible! the place looks pretty plain from the outside but once you are in, you walk down a narrow and winding staircase which opens up to a lovely open air garden below. the... Good food, nice garden, but to expensive. You can definitely find better lunch /dinner in the area for half of the price.

Overall, setting-wise this was nice place but I think because of its fabulous location and popularity, the staff have lost interest and the hotel has lost its identity and ambience. As a result it left us feeling rather disappointed and a little sad that a place could have such potential but so badly fail. The hotel itself is located in... More

We ate lunch here on a day out from the coast, after a super patios tour by one of the staff from the tourist office. The restaurant garden was lovely but we were very pleased to get a table in the shaded part. We had a lunch made up of mezze and starters. It's very good quality north African cooking... More

Great atmosphere, food and service. As you enter the building, actually ten houses, you feel in a different place and time... Decoration, going down by narrow stairs... Until you reach the terrace or the restaurant, both opened and wide. Nice feelings!

Fabulous setting and food! Felt service could of been better. It's so popular, almost like the staff couldn't be bothered and don't have to try. Would recommend and return, but a little disappointed.

Wonderful food especially the assorted appetizer plate with best falafel ever. Service was pleasant but the food took a while which would have bee fine except we had three little ones under 5. Would love to return when the kids are older.

One expects Moroccan cuisine to be bursting with exciting exotic flavours but my experience with their Lamb Tagine was one of a flavourless, vaguely sour mush. One of the most disappointing and frankly unpleasant meals I've ever had.

Dear Patrick. The menu of the Jardin del Califa has 4 soups, 5 salads, eleven starters (as part of our mezzes), 7 chefs specials, 4 fish dishes (other fish dishes available as part of cous cous or chefs specials), 5 cous cous, 5 tagines, 6 barbecue dishes and 6 desserts.
