The food is always fabulous

This is one of my favourite restaurants in the area offering great tasting traditional food in a very welcoming atmosphere. The service is always good, even with the moments when my grasp of Italian isn't quite good enough to understand all of the specials!

We had dinner here with a group of 4 adults and 5 children and had a great time. The food was really good and tasty, and thanks to the owner and his wife this has been one of the best meals we had in Tuscany!

We came on a Sunday night and were the only ones there at 7:30. The antipasto platter was generous and they brought extra Crostini with liver for all the kids. They also served truffled honey with the cold cuts which was amazing. All of the food was top notch, and the Bistecca Fiorentina was reasonably priced and incredibly delicious. The... More

We got there Sunday afternoon for lunch, and found the place to be fully booked! The owner has willingly and quickly set up a table for us in the basement, which filled up quickly, too. Overall, we got the best service and amazing food. Tagliata was delicious! Definitely worth many more visits.

I have been twice now to this excellent restaurant, lucky enough to do business in this area. The Tuscan steak, pasta, tempura zucchini and wine are exquisite. The friendliest of staff too. It is definitely woth a detour.

After dashing among colltelli to look at knives to buy, it is time for lunch as shope do shut down for siesta. San Barnaba sits across a park at the entrance to the town and welcomes visitors warmly, even though by this time of year, we were the only visitors who the other patrons being locals. We had pecorini Patti... More

Very friendly and welcoming. They serve the best tagliata I've ever had, managing to have it well done yet juicy and tasty. Everything was very good and quantities are large, be warned! Very good wine too.

The Best Restaurant we visited, a glass of wine for each of us on our arrival and excellent food all freshly cooked and an extensive menu. The staff were friendly and very courteous, the table cloths would put Persil to shame and the place was really well presented - fanastic!!

I eat there at least once a week while visiting my company head-office in Scarperia. Cozy rooms, amazing familiar atmosphere, great genuine simple food. No fancy ingredients, just the best quality on simple stuff, such as: amazing florentine steak, vegetables and great pastas. The service is spotless. Silvia, the wife of the owner treats every customer with the same love... More
