We had high expectations from this restaurant as it was recommended multiple times. We all ordered something traditional for starters, and a fillet for seconds. Starters were OK, but seconds where all over-cooked. I ordered my fillet medium-rare, and it was delivered well-done!! The fillet was also sliced (for some odd reason). Very disappointed to say the least!

We were advised by an estate agent who was showing us around the island that Charlie's is the best place in Malta to have rabbit. I have asked other Maltese friends an colleagues this question and many say you have to go to Mgarr. Having eaten rabbit there, I'm not convinced, so I would say try other places (e.g L'Artiste... Recommended by many, Charlie’s Inn was definitely top of our list. Expectations were high; nevertheless the fantastic food, great service and cosy environment by far exceeded them. We arrived and were greeted immediately by friendly staff. The starters came after a very reasonable amount of time and we were blown away by the seafood served to us in a little... More

Excellent value, and very good food. Although I do not eat rabbit, I was served with a really delicious fresh fish, accompanied with cooked veg. Absolutely divine. My advise is to dine early, possibly before 8.30, to avoid the busy hours. After nine, the place gets so busy that you will hardly hear yourself talking. Book in advance.

We returned to charlies earlier this month for our favourite Maltese speciality ....rabbit. Charlies rabbit meal is excellent value and to enjoy it to the full you need to be hungry! Early over indulgence on the snails and nibbles will lead to you filling up whilst eating the fantastic spaghetti, leaving little room to fully enjoy the wonderful rabbit. Other... More

Good food. Great price. Don't mess around with menu. Snails, rabbit spaghetti, rabbit and chips. Nice glass of wine.

After all the good comments I heard about Charlie's Inn going for lunch was a must. I was not let down. The food was fantastic, creative combinations of flavours on the a la carte menu as well as perfectly executed traditional dishes. The service was very pleasant, and not overly friendly as that does tend to annoy me usually. The... More

I visited Charlie's Inn many times and each time I walk away full and happy. To debunk some of the criticism left by other commentators, I find the portions being just right. I always take a starter and a main course and sometimes even a wonderful dessert. Charlie's Inn is also well priced. People tend to forget that it is... More

Been to Charlie's Inn many time, never a disappointment.... Always threated exceptionally well by the owner and his family and food was always top notch! A must when dining at Charlie's Inn - the snails and 'aglioli'/bigilla antipasto, the home made ravioli (to die for!) and most of all the Rabbit as a main course! This is one of the... More

I visit Charlie's Rabbit house quite often, and have grown very much accustomed to their hospitality and warmth, whatever the season. The restaurant has been run by the same family since I can remember and the only thing that tops their cordiality and good service is the food. I seriously cannot say that anyone can cook rabbit like they do... More
