Warm welcome at a traditinal and historic 'local' pub.

This establishment is adjacent to the A146 at North Cove, near Beccles and is ideally situated for a break in journeys towards Lowestoft. The recently re-opened and redecorated traditional pub, with open log fire, offers a warm welcome and has the feel of a genuine 'local'. Quality real ales and... read more

The pub was shut for a while and since reopening I've visited twice. The 1st time was not great, the beer was poor and the landlord stressed as his electrics had gone down. As real ale drinkers we had to send the beer back and the replacement hardly given with good grace was an average offering at best. The 2nd... More

My wife and i live in the village and thought we would visit The Three Horeshoes. Theres was not 1real ale on offer to us which was dissapointing as i am a real ale drinker. The barmaid was very apologetic and polite. We were going to stay for lunch but the menu was very limited so we ended up leaving... More

I am very sorry that there were no real ales on sale. We had the funeral of the late Mr Carassco (previous landlord) and were expecting around 60 guests - 300 turned up and drank us dry. The Swan leapt to our rescue with a couple of barrels but they were not ready until Sunday afternoon. The chef does not... More

My husband and I and our two friends from London decided to give the Three Horseshoes a further try as new management had taken over. (we had not been impressed in past). Had a lovely evening. Food was excellent, staff were very pleasant and the chef Adrian came out to see us. Shane the waiter was very attentive. Our friends... More

On 13th July 2014 I wrote a very negative but justifiable review about The Three Horseshoes under the heading “Never again” name: Kim F, Suffolk, due to a very disappointing meal we experienced. On 12th October 2014 we revisited The Three Horseshoes to take up the landlord’s kind offer of a free meal but it was not solely because the... More

my husband and I thought we would try out this pub which was under new management. The food was dry and had the appearance of being old (dried ends to the spring onions and some lettuce which was discoloured). I never thought it was possible to get a ham salad wrong. The landlord did not offer to bring over our... More

In response to your review. Why oh why did you not tell us of your dissapointment whilst still in the pub? I agree that our barmaid is one of the best, however if she was behind the bar then I was not on duty that day. When I am not on duty I leave the waiting and serving to those... More

In reply to your comments I would like to say that all our food is fresh. I am informed that the only frozen food we use are peas and beans. Why did you not complain on the day? I would have personaly put it right. As of next April all our vegetables and fruit (when in season) will be fresh... More

Walked over footpath from local airfield; Nice looking pub, Suntrap ouside dining area. Next to ancient church. Disapointing food; Ham egg & chips hard to get wrong, but grimly overcooked chips, rock soil eggs & circular plastic ham, (+ point for Heinz)

Visited this pub today for a pint and snack. The beer was fine but the food was grim and the dessert terrible. The pub website says it is under new management but our experience has done nothing for their reputation. We will not be back.
