Nice welcome from manager , dog friendly , not an overly massive menu was let down by a well overcooked dinner i think the southern fried chicken was darker than the stained oak timbers . Nice welcome food was big let down

This is our local pub, and we've have been looking for an excuse to go there since we moved here in the spring. As my father in law was coming up we booked a table for the Sunday, stating that there would be 6 adults and 2 little ones. Over the phone they said that would be fine and so... More

I have read with interest your comments on this page. 1. When we took the booking you stated 6 people and one 2 year old. 2. When you came in I said hallo and got no response. A gentleman with a babe in arms immediately marched towards the restaurant without even asking where we would like you to sit or... More

Old country pub with low beams and many original features. Lovely chatty barmaid made us very welcome. Just drinks today but will go back to sample the food.

We popped into Beccles airfield, so Mrs M could get her PPL hours in. On the advice of the FISO we walked about a mile across a rugged byway, to the 3 horseshoes. This is an unassuming pub, with plenty of outdoor seating just back from the Lowestoft Rd. The beer was excellent (sadly wife on coke!) I had the... More

Staff very edgy, argumentative amongst each other. The food was dreadful, like very bad hospital food, definitely not a qualified chef. Decor a bit tasteless. Felt like a very sexist place. One only for locals I think! Will never ever go again

This establishment is adjacent to the A146 at North Cove, near Beccles and is ideally situated for a break in journeys towards Lowestoft. The recently re-opened and redecorated traditional pub, with open log fire, offers a warm welcome and has the feel of a genuine 'local'. Quality real ales and with honest pub food, prepared in their kitchens by the... More

The pub was shut for a while and since reopening I've visited twice. The 1st time was not great, the beer was poor and the landlord stressed as his electrics had gone down. As real ale drinkers we had to send the beer back and the replacement hardly given with good grace was an average offering at best. The 2nd... More

My wife and i live in the village and thought we would visit The Three Horeshoes. Theres was not 1real ale on offer to us which was dissapointing as i am a real ale drinker. The barmaid was very apologetic and polite. We were going to stay for lunch but the menu was very limited so we ended up leaving... More

I am very sorry that there were no real ales on sale. We had the funeral of the late Mr Carassco (previous landlord) and were expecting around 60 guests - 300 turned up and drank us dry. The Swan leapt to our rescue with a couple of barrels but they were not ready until Sunday afternoon. The chef does not... More
