Starting from their sandwiches, to their bakes savory foods, their frozen food and above all their sweets and cakes...Santa Lucia offers an excellent selection of good quality food. I love all their cakes about all their cherry cheesecake and their fudge brownie, one must try it at least once! A word of caution: extremely addictive :)

This place has become a landmark. The cakes and confection are made with the best ingredients that one can get. Throughout the years they have consistently improved their product. Our family feels lucky not to live so far and when we want to give a treat to ourselves we don't need to discuss from where as it is always Santa... More

We usually stop at Santa Lucia Café for a nibble. They make lovely cakes and a good coffee. The ice cream is very good too, and their Almond Cake (Torta Tal-lewz) is divine as verified by all my colleagues at work who flock to the kitchen whenever I return with one of these things! Highly recommended as it's just a... More

This was the top cafe in Malta in my opinion. Don't know what happened but the last 5 times I have been here both the food and service were average. On my last visit I kept asking for a menu and finally i woke up and took one myself. Thank God for the heavenly cakes, I still highly recommend the... More

This is a very popular company in Malta and rightly so, because their food is pretty good and they have a vast selection of desserts too! What lacks is the 'service' - no one acknowledges you and you have to keep trying to get someone's attention. What also bothered me is that a simple order of 2 coffees and 2... More

There's no denying that Santa Lucia is popular with the locals - it's always jam-packed with people! Still, though the place tends to get busy, it's not a good excuse for the shoddy service (forget the 'service with a smile' - you're lucky to get a grunt of acknowledgement) and after ordering a cappuccino and getting served with a cup... This little cafe is such an experience, tucked away in the streets of Attard. I can imagine that it gets busy over the weekend but it is an ideal place for a quiet lunch or afternoon snack, followed by one of the best capuccino's on the island. The ciabatta was meticulously prepared. and made an excellent snack, but for me... More

The waiters totally ignore you. They have a captive market and they're aware of it, unfortunately. No greeting. No smiles. Slow, unfriendly 'service' - if it can be called that. Waiters are more concerned with wiping vacant tables than greeting and serving guests. We ordered a chicken wrap which was satisfactory. We ordered a special pasta which was on the... More

My companion and I visited at lunch time, and as we entered we were afraid that we wouldn't find anywhere to sit as the cafe was packed. However we were lucky and did find a place to sit. The waiter was friendly, helpful clean and quick, despite being obviously rushed. Our cappuccinos were excellent, and our food was very good;... More
