Very good local fare.

Good food and wine. I went on Sunday so it was noisy and busy but the food was worth the trip. Average service but it was busy that day. Recommended.

For 105€ my family of four dined and dined well. That price included well-sized portions of venison and buffalo steak, a bottle of wine, a large bottle of water, two orders of incredibly good french fries, and two desserts with two cups of espresso. The buffalo was a little rough but everything else was top-notch. A truly wonderful meal!

a fantastic restaurant, mid range price €50 a couple approx, original idea, fresh cuts of meat from all around the world you choose your steak and while you're waiting are served with a vast array of excellent typical sicilian anti pasti. For veggies these are more than enough to satisfy your hunger! The service was great, and the food fresh... More

Any poor reviews of this fabulous trattoria are churlish and must have been written by vegetarians: you get what it says on the tin, FANTASTIC, great value meat (and lots of it), fun wine (choice of one), great appetisers and pasta 'primis', service with a smile and an interesting variety of hunting trophies on the walls. Not a salad leaf... More

Saw an ad in a flight magazine. So we drove up there. Right at the foot of Mount Etna, is this village called Trecastagni. The place looks like a big chalet with a bear welcoming us. There's actually a butcher inside - choose your pieces of meat, and they'll prepare it for you. In the meantime, savored ourselves with antipasti...good... More

We went there with my friends to celebrate my birthday. I heard a lot about this restaurant. I'm a meat lover and I was sodisfied to eat a Fiorentine steak and very happy to find a fresh fried potatoes!!!!! It was amazing dinner, good service, very attentive personal and at the end the owner offered us homemade sweets cannoli siciliani... More

Having lived in Catania for some years and having heard fantastic things about this meat- lovers haven we decided to give it a go. How disappointing. We were unceremoniously sat in, what seemed to be, a covered patio, which stank of catssurveying under a (thankfully) switched off TV and hunting trophies. The food was only ok.... Hunger is great sauce,... More

We were recommend this restaurant by the owners of our B&B in Tremestieri Etnea, in the ouskirts of Catania City. The concept is great for meat lovers : a butcher's which developped a restaurant where you can eat their meats. The antipasti are excellent with a choice of tripe in tomato sauce and liver in wine sauce (not bad but... More
