Open all year, restaurant l'Anais is a hidden gem in the sud-Minervois. The superb period decor takes you back to Paris in the 1920's although the regular music nights have a more modern theme. Enjoy a glass of local wine at the pewter bar or indulge your tastebuds with the famous crème brûlée in the restaurant!

Very tasty

This was the best of the restaurants we visited while in the area,. There is plenty of choice for vegetarians, meat and fish-eaters and the food is very good - especially desserts. There are also plenty of choices of pizzas. The service was also very prompt and friendly.

Lovely place. Went a little last minute but was fine without a reservation. If we'd visited here before going anywhere else first it'd have been perfect ... the only issue is having been to la selette up the road in Bize-Minervois this place was fighting an uphill battle!! Nip in here for a midweek bite ... you won't be disappointed.... More

Worth going to see the restaurant inside ...very original ...lovely tiled floor. Had family Sunday lunch once which was very ordinary but Friday fish and chips is great ( but take your own ketchup !!) Joanna can be a tad off hand and appear unfriendly ...we have visited a few times but she does not seem to know us

Nice little restaurant in a small French village. Excellent food and great service. Run by a English and Belgium couple. I do recommend the pollock fillet!

Had a fabulous family meal here last night. Four adults and two children all catered for with some excellent food. All had different meals and all were delicious! The house rose wine was great too. Staff were friendly and service good. Will be returning soon!

Menu choices fantastic, something for everyone including kids. Food was excellent quality and good value. Waiting staff very friendly owner Joanna was very helpful and accommodating with kids allowing them to rehearse and perform an after dinner show on the stage X Even bought some art work displayed on the walls. Lol

I highly recommend this restaurant. The owner was friendly and very helpful. The food was great. We ate on the terrace where it was nice and cool in very hot weather. It's away from the canal - so no flies! (A welcome change in the summer in this area). Will definitely be returning.

While the fact this restaurant is run by an English couple bore little on our visit it made for a good venue. The menu is bilingual, veggie and gluten free options are displayed (rare for France) while any questions you might have when ordering can be quickly and easily answered. As a venue l'Anais is in a sleepy village that... More
