Description: Open all year, restaurant l'Anais is a hidden gem in the sud-Minervois. The superb period decor takes you back to Paris in the 1920's although the regular music nights have a more modern theme. Enjoy a glass of local wine at the pewter bar or indulge your tastebuds with the famous crème brûlée in the restaurant!

What a wonderful place. The staff are very welcoming and the food excellent. There was a great choice of food - we had chicken supreme, lamb shank (which was superb) and pizza. The lemon tart for pudding was the lightest I have ever tasted and was simply divine! There was a very relaxed atmosphere and children are definitely welcome. It... More

We had a wonderful evening at L'Anais to celebrate our special birthdays. We were a party of 9, with various different expectations and needs and for us the owner was absolutely brilliant. She liaised with me in the planning via email, helped to organise transport for us back to our hotel, so that everyone could enjoy a few drinks and... More

The restaurant is in a very nice small village and was the original "Salle de fete". It has a fabulous interior and has pleasant complementary... More

Fabulous pizzas with topping as we wanted them. Lovely side salad of mixed leaves and roasted vegetables. Great service from English woman and Belgian husband. Lovely atmospheric music playing very relaxed. A family friendly restaurant but very suitable for couples as we were. One if the nicest pizzas we have had.

Visiting this region of France for the first time, I was relying on the local knowledge of a friend. Dinner in this beautiful restaurant was a real treat. I had the lamb shank which simply melted in your mouth. The meat was succulent and well prepared. Dessert was a mouth watering citrus tart with burnt caramel. They also had a... More

The food was really great and the prices are moderate. But I did not expect the personnel (that happen to be the owners) to speak perfect English.
