A quiet and charming little place in Le Somail with an outdoor serving on the edge of the canal. Good service and food for big and small guests alike with pleasant views of the old bridge and boats on the water.

Full restaurant, but they got us in. I am not likely to forget the pleasant atmosphere, the patience of the waiter, or the salmon tartare, which was the highlight of our stop in Le Somail.

We ate here twice during our barge trip - would recommend the ravioli starter & the red mullet. We booked to be on the safe side as it was generally quite busy

We had a lovely meal in a fantastic setting on the banks of the Canal du Midi. Staff were pleasant and helpful and food was great. Would highly recommend a visit to this restaurant.

I have been here many times and quite enjoyed the food and service however there are times when the staff can be incredibly outwardly rude! So much so that I haven't decided if I'll go back. Beautiful outdoor patio, great food however if you value being treated with respect it may not be the best choice.

Nice canal side restaurant, beautiful interior with great exposed brickwork & authentic original art work. Various prices menu from Euro 14 for 2 course lunchtime "midi Menu".....Many dishes include the excellent local Duck & a good wine list focused on Minervois wines. Good service & a more than decent Cassoulet.

Le Somail is an almost car free canal village, and this restaurant is beside the canal with parking nearby, Can eat inside or out and watch the boats and tourists, or tae an electric boat out yourself,. open most or all year. may need to book in season and weekends. We took the standard three course dinner menu at 28... More

Almost everything about this restaurant was disappointing - apart from the view. Firstly, they failed to recall a reservation made less than 24 hours before, but remembered by the time our main courses arrived and pointed to the table they had reserved for us. The service was extremely poor considering there were just 22 covers occupied at the time. There... More

Great food, beautifully presented, wonderful setting. Good wines, I particulary liked the white Les Hirondelles. But, and a big but, they don't take Credit Cards!! They were however perfectly happy to accept my personal cheque with card. When will French enterprises realise that people will spend more money with a credit card, rather than having to wonder all the time... More
