This restaurant overlooks Keel beach and serves very tasty seafood dishes. The 'Cross section of the Sea' offers a bit of everything including shrimp, oyster, mussels, crab and smoked salmon. Great dish for seafood lovers. Lovely staff.

Plenty of tasty seafood and fish, not too expensive but a sad lack of fresh salads or light options, a lot of frying done here! Service, while very friendly was very very slow and it wasn't busy the night we were there.

I've looked loads of times at this restaurant but with no menu out front I moved on again. On a friends recommendation I gave it a try. I had garlic mushrooms they were delicious. Monkfish for main which was very good. My wife had poached salmon very nice. Desert was simple but tasty.

Were on an Island and you'd think you could get some proper food to eat and fish food at that.. The menu SHOULD have being posted in the front of house and not until your sitting down do you find out everything is way way over priced -- be fore warned people -- I got the fish & chips because... First impressions are good with the restaurant well presented and inviting. The service we received was also good, the waitress attentive and friendly. If I was rating on the above then four stars. But... All the above counts for nowt if the food isn't up to scratch. I started with the Chowder which should be creamy and have recognisable pieces... More

We had an excellent lunch in "The Chalet" on Sunday. It was after a funeral but it was fit for any banquet. Excellent all round but the seafood was particularly good. We will be back

I had the fish and chips. The fish was bland. The chips were from frozen. For dessert I went for, sticky toffee pudding, was just meh. The half bottle of wine I wanted wasn't in stock. The house white by the glass was not great. My partner really enjoyed his Scampi though. A group of three arrived in while we... More

One gets a warm welcome at the Chalet. The wood and the light inside make for a warm atmosphere, and the views are gorgeous. The portions are huge. A steaming bowel of delicious seafood chowder could easily feed two. The chowder is velvety and full of various local fish and seafood. The crab claw trio was amazing. The menu is... More

We had a great meal with fresh bio salmon at a very fair price after official kitchen closing time. Don't ask for chips, they 're not like Belgian fries! ;-) Their freshly homemade seafood chowder is one of the best fish soups I ever tasted!

I had dinner at the Chalet on a recent visit to Keel. I had the seafood pate to start which was lovely followed by the chilli baked hake which was disappointing. A lovely piece of hake, oven baked then doused in a a shop bought sweet chilli sauce, the veg and potato were dried out. The lemon meringue pie was... More
